Longhorn Steakhouse

We've been a couple times because people gave us gift cards, but we prefer Texas Roadhouse.

Don't think I've been to Longhorn, didn't like Texas Roadhouse. Hardly ever dine out anymore, it's too expensive and it takes too long. WDW is an exception to this rule :earsboy:

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a thread here about this place.

What are peoples’ thoughts on it?

What are your favorites on the menu?

Longhorn Menu

It's ok. I'd put it above Outback, or Logan's Roadhouse (now closed) but it's not on par with any of the really nice steak houses.

Personally though, my favorite steakhouse is my back yard Weber.

They have a shrimp and cherry peppers appetizer that is so delicious I order it as my entree and do not share with DH.

We went once years ago but my husband didn’t like it cause they use mesquite on the steaks which he didn’t care for and we have never been back.

We enjoy Longhorn. I like the potato soup.

Not my first choice but my elderly mother will only go to two restaurants on our weekly visit; Longhorn is one of them.
I would probably enjoy it more if I did not have to go every other week!
On a side note, last week they were low on supplies and the menu was limited entrees with no desserts in stock!

It's been our go to take out place for birthday lunches at work during the pandemic. Our group likes the salmon, baked potatoes and salads.

Their takeout ordering is easy and convenient for us.

We have a Texas Roadhouse near us, but I have not eaten there. When they first opened, I heard that they were the ones who were expensive.

It was our go to date night steakhouse before COVID. We would always get the chili cheese fries as an appetizer, I would get the Flat Iron and a pina colada. None of those things is available now :'( DH is sad because he loves the Flo's filet but nothing else jumps out at me so I'd rather go elsewhere.

We have gone to Longhorn a number of times and at least the one by us was always preferable to the Outback. I like the bone-in ribeye at Longhorn. Also fans of Texas Roadhouse but it isn’t as local.

We went once to Longhorn our first dinner out when we were both fully vaccinated in June and really liked it. I have been to Texas Roadhouse for a few work things over the years but can’t say I like one better than the other.

I went about 2 years ago because someone gave me a gift certificate. It had probably been at least 5 years before that since I had gone. It's close to us, nothing remarkable about it either way, but there are just so many other places to choose from. Do they take reservations? We pretty much only go to places where we can get a reservation and don't have to wait. I'm not about to stand in a lobby with a bunch of strangers for 30-60 minutes to wait for a table.

To the best of my knowledge there is none in NYC. The man thought Outback was the cat’s meow.

Significantly prefer Texas Roadhouse, which is probably my favorite chain restaurant. I don't mind Longhorn, but I don't think its much (or any) better than TR, but a good bit more expensive.

We agree with this. We like them both, but feel that TR is just a little better and a couple dollars cheaper per meal. They are the same distance for us so if we are going to go we always choose TR.

Haven’t gone in a while but back then.. family really liked the steak burgers. Nice portion size, tasty n served Heat Hot not tepid.

Tried texas roadhouse. So Loud could not enjoy meal. Going to try again on vacation with other steakhouses to really compare.

I like longhorns. Good food and a quiet restaurant. Similar to saltgrass.

Logans is OK. Still open and can get good deals at sams for gift cards.

I like outback on vacation. It is by one hotel we stay at on our road trip. So I get it to go and enjoy in room.
