Longest you've waitlisted for and it's come through?

This is the 4th time I've had to waitlist for a resort. But the other 3 times the waitlist has come through within a few weeks. This time, however, I've been waitlisted for about 2 months and no luck yet. We've probably been just extremely lucky in the past, but I'm getting a little antsy here, even though our trip is still several months away. So tell me, what's the longest others have waitlisted, then eventually had their waitlist come through? Also, this is our first long-term stay at BWV, maybe it takes longer there (proximity to Epcot=more popular?)

I'v had a couple that never came through, especially at HH for Memorial Day weekend. I suspect the vast majority of cancellations occur at the 7 month window and just before 30 days out but that's still likely a relatively small percentage. Though there will be cancellations throughout the entire 11 months even up to the day of arrival.

The secret to the wait list is getting on it as soon as possible, hopefully day by day at the 7 month window. Knowing that is is wiped out and restarted at 30 days out and that at 7 days there is no more wait list. If you use this information to your advantage, you will enhance your chances dramatically.

Well, you haven't mentioned what kind of room or when.......

I was on the list for about 2 1/2 months for a 1br at BCV at the end of October.

I was waitlisted for an extra night in a 1 bdrm at HH in June. Waited from January right up to 3 weeks out and got it!

I am currently suffering in waitlist limbo.

I booked 2bdrm & a studio for Tues- Sat Thanksgiving week at my home resort BCV at the 11 month window. Then at 7 month tried to switch to VWL. This is where my extended family that I'm taking would really LOVE to spend Thanksgiving. I had to waitlist. Well the studio has come through but not the 2 bdrm yet. Now of course I have roooms at 2 different resorts (I knew this could happen)

I am SO hoping this comes through I am planning on bringing my 79 year old grandmother and I want everything to be perfect.

So for now I wait...and try not to call MS too much...

I thought of changing my waitlist to night by night, but I figure I've already messed myself up with rooms at 2 resorts, I don't want to make it worse!

I was waitlisted for a 2BR for New Year's eve at the BWV for a standard room after making the reservations at 11 months. I made the mistake of not calling day by day and called at the end of week. It never came through but they worked it out at the BWV so that we could stay in the standard room for that one night we didn't get. No doubt someone staying for one night was "upgraded" to our preferred room.
