During the busiest times and the summer, how long would you say is the longest wait on line with a fastpass? Do most of the attractions run out of fastpass early? If you snooze your loose?

We went in July of 2001 and really loved fastpass. The longest wait was maybe 5 minutes. You feel a little guilty going right through the line of people 45 minutes or more deep, but not guilty enough when your on in a flash. lol. We didn't have any problem with them running out on our trip.:bounce:

to answer part of your question, yes, you snooze you lose. There is just so many fast passes and once they are gone, the machines are covered up until the next day. I have had to wait as long as 20-25 minutes in some of the rides with a fast pass in hand, but it beat the 90 minutes the people in the other line were experiencing.

On our trip the first week of February-- they ran out of FP for TT by 2 pm. Also, around 3pm we got in a 25 minute standby line for the Jungle Cruise and they were out of FP. Also, when we were there last April, they were out of FP for Splash Mountain by noon. So, on busier days some of the major attractions can run out of FP early.

I could get Fast Passes for EVERYTHING I needed, up to about 7:00pm....they closed at 12 Midnight that day!;)

How long is the longest anyone has waiting on line to get the fastpass ticket? Can one member of the family take care of the rest of the family at the fastpass machine?

We have hade to wait a few minutes at the Test Track FP machines.

And yes, one person can get all the FP's but you must have everyone admission tickets.

Do they issue more fastpasses during busier times? It seems that if they are running more cars for the ride they may expand the number of riders per hour and that may also increase the number of passes issued for that day or is it at a set number no matter what. For example they count on giving out only 200 passes per day no matter what.

i know that you are asking about fastpass in the summer, but I thought our experience around Christmas could offer some perspective of what CAN happen.

We have been at Disney the week after Christmas the past two years, and it was hectic but fun. To get a fastpass for RnR'er Coaster, I waited in a 10-15 minute line...to use the fastpass, I waited for 30-45 minutes...it was wildly unbelievable. The fastpasses for the major attractions were gone by 10:00-10:30 nearly every day. I hope the summer is not quite as crowded:D

Well, I haven't had to wait longer than 5 maybe 10 minutes with a fastpass. But when we were in line for Rock 'n Roller Coaster, it broke down so some people in the fast pass line were waiting for 30 - 45 minutes to ride it.

I am feelings discouraged now. I knew it would be busy (and hot) but never experiencing Fastpass I thought that this time I would get the chance to ride the attractions I was unable to last time with the help of Fastpass.

Is it possible to get fastpasses for the family and some of them don't want to ride the ride so instead some of the other family members use their fastpass and then get back on the line and use their family member's fastpass. Or, will too much time lapse and the fastpass time will run out to be able to go back on the ride? This is during July crowds.

I have been at every time of year including March, Easter, June and Christmas. I have never run into a line to actually get the fastpass. There are several FP machines at each FP attraction and its encouraged that one person in your party hold the tickets and get all the FP's.

Yes to your question, you can get a FP for everyone in your party regardless of whether they are riding. You can ride using your FP and will definately have time to re-ride using another member of your party's FP. The FP has a 1 hour return time, you can ride anytime during that hour. This should be plenty of time to ride any ride 2x maybe even more.

You should not have to wait to use the FP just enter the FP line and your good to go. Sometimes you join the standby line for a preshow or at some point but usually your wait is minimal. The only time I have had to wait more than 5-10 minutes with fastpass was at RnRc - for some reason that FP line backs up.

The only ride I have not been able to get a FP for is Test Track, on a busy day they can be gone as early as 1pm.

Decide on your must do rides at each park, hit that park in the morning, get FP's and ride something else while you wait for your ride time to come up.

Thank you. I will go, hope for the best and have fun.

Last year we got fastpasses for Test Track and had to wait in queue for 45mins. The normal queue were going faster and whilst in the fastpass line we wished we had just joined the normal queue!!
The ride then broke down half way through, twice, so it wasn't an enjoyable experience

One day during Christmas the Fast passes for Test track were gone by 10:30 a.m., our return time was at 8:30 p.m.

We actually went back to the room for the afternoon, dined at Le Cellier and then the mother of rain storms hit and we left Epcot before we could even use our fast passes. Bummer!

Just fyi if you have a FP for a ride that breaks down like TT, you can bring it back and use it anytime during your trip.

This happened to us with space mt., it wasn't working in the morning and we came back that night and were still able to use our FP.

Another thought: I can't remember how many times throughout the parks we saw people lined up outside the FP entrance, waiting for their time! Kind of defeats the purpose of the FP.:Pinkbounc

During busy times would you say that even with fastpass it is still difficult to get on the rides/attractions and that waiting on a long line is the norm?

my earlier post may have come across as somewhat gloomy, but this is not the norm with the fastpass system. If you work it right...get a new fastpass before using the one in your hand, it will save loads of time. That being said, it does not guarantee a "walk-on" to the ride for which you hold the fastpass. But, look at it this way--even if you have to wait, you're ahead of those poor souls in the stand-by line:p

I just wanted to say DH and I LOVE Fast Pass! This past Monday at MK it worked great for us. We fast passed Splash did some other things like Tom Sawyers Island (played checkers- it was so quiet over there) and got back on SM later. Then we Fast Passed Big Thunder did some other rides and ate lunch at Kona Cafe then came back for BT. It REALLY helps out with the crowds. There were a few FP machines down for SM so we had to wait 5 minutes in a line to GET a FP. The CM's were joking about it.
