Longest Lines

Which rides from each park have the longest wait times??? Lets say during the week (mon-Fri) Give me maybe a top 5 or top 10 startin with the longest lines.. Thanks! Also if you have any tips for beating the lines or a certain time or day to do the ride, weather its because its better or just shorter lines.. Thanks!

The one that first comes to mind is Indiana Jones. Those FPs seem to go faster than any others in park, that I have noticed. Also, that ride seems to be down a lot for at least the past year. Grab FPs for this ride in the morning.

Toy Story in DCA always seems to be over an hour when I've gone. Last summer it was new, so long line. Then Jan. 2 was just plain crazy at the parks anyway, so long line then too. I would imagine that on a crowded day that line would be long.

We just returned yesterday from our first trip. It was sooo fun! Many of the "shared" attractions are, in my opinion, superior to WDW. I especially loved the Enchanted Tiki Room.

Here are the lines that are super long in MK, where FastPass is not available:

Nemo Subs
Matterhorn
Peter Pan's Flight

To do these, we scheduled one ride for each morning we were there. Tuesday, the goal was to get to Peter Pan, Wednesday, Nemo Subs, Thursday, Mattherhorn (child swap available).

We were at the gates 40 minutes before open, therefore we were first at rope drop at end of Main St. You have to get up early and be first, or close to it, at the turnstiles. Be sure to ask CM which turnstiles they'll be opening. It changed each day we were there - sometimes even numbers, sometimes 8-17 ...

Go to these rides directly and quickly - without running. We were usually in the first or second ride vehicles of the day.

We found that after accomplishing these, we could still enjoy other Fantasyland attractions with minimal wait - including Dumbo.

Other popular attractions have FP, so we used those the same way we would at WDW.

Surprisingly, there were multiple times throughout each day of our visit when we were able to either walk on or have a minimal wait for POTC and HM.

We didn't spend as much time at California Adventure because the rides we were interested in (Soarin' and TOT) have FP and you can literally walk from MK to CA in under 5 minutes. We went between parks alot depending on our FPs for the day. Monsters Inc. does not have FP, but we were able to walk on or have minimal wait several times.

We did not do any rides at Paradise Pier. DH went there for TSMM while we were napping and was able to ride it 4 times in a row (with the longest wait time being 5 minutes) through the single rider line. He said he could have ridden more but he was developing "tennis elbow".

The good news: all of those except Nemo have FastPass. So, all you have to do is start collecting FastPasses the minute you hit the parks. As each new FastPass window opens, be sure and pick up another one for your top ride choices. It's an open secret that DL has a policy that you don't have to return within the "return by" time window for FP; once the beginning time for that window has begun, the FP is good until the end of the day. So, early in the day, you are collecting FPs, and riding those rides that don't have FP while the lines are still low, before the greatest crowds arrive. Then you come back later in the evening and ride all those FP rides right in a row.

My favorite one on there was "FastPass for Dummies and Smarties: A Photographic Explanation". I'm the dummy who needs a picture to figure it out! It really explained it well.

It depends on your definition of long lines, but Jungle Cruise and HM also have relatively "longer" lines, but they move fast.

Peter Pan is the longest hands down in Fantasyland. I rode it once probably back in the 90s at DL, then did it 2 years ago at WDW. It was right after Wishes too prior to closing, and I was wondering why the heck the line was so long. When we got in, I remembered how it's a suspended ship ride, so that's probably what draws so much appeal.

after returning from our trip last week I would have to agree with all previous posts and if I could suggest one thing to try to avoid the lines at their longest is to purchase and make use of RideMax (www.ridemax.com), it was well worth our $20 to be able to punch in which rides we wanted to do when and have them develop a 'plan' that puts them in order so that you have the least amount of 'wait' time. We didn't follow it to the minute but it was nice to have an idea ... we walked right onto Pirates of the Caribbean one morning after obtaining our Fast Pass for Splash Mtn which we were able to then use to basically walk right onto Splash!! it is great and worth the $$ IMO.

DL: Indiana Jones, Autopia, Nemo, Space Mountain, Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion (Holiday Version).
I've heard that Splash Mountain can have huge lines, but in the summer. We were never there in the summer, so I can't vouch for that.
