Longest cruise time?

120 nights on RSSC Voyager's World Cruise westbound circumnavigation in 2006. Having been a few very long cruises, I can say that anything over 30 days is no longer a vacation, it is pretty much a lifestyle. You just settle right in and don't have to work so hard at it every day. It's relaxing and fun. I do tend to get a little stir crazy about every 25 days, but there's good news. You can almost always arrange to get off the ship on a long cruise every 25 to 32 days. The ship will either do multiple days in one port or you'll have an opportunity to take a short overland trip and catch up with the ship again at another port in a few days. So, cabin fever problem is solved. I prefer long cruises to short ones. It seems like the same amount of work to pack, to travel to the ship and back and to be away from home for a 3 day or 7 day or 15 day trip as for a 60 day one.

Ok am I the only one wondering on the forum what you do for a living!!!!!!???? Don't share, I know it's too personal, but 120 days :scared1:

108 nights once and 111 nights once (2 World Cruises with 55 ports each in 6 continents ) and another 90 day (South America circumnavigation). We LOVED it and did them at a great time in our life. On our World Cruises they were on fewer passenger ships and everyone is away from their families and the full WCers become like a family and many have become lifelong friends. We had someone living with us who could take care of our pets and would send emails and pictures almost daily plus we had lots of free phone time so could call our grown children often.

I don't think I could do it now, with 4 little grandchildren we would miss their hugs way too much! (they'll be with us on our first Disney cruise in November) plus the $ per diem is out of sight.

........I want to go back and slap my guidance counselor!I would have to hide out in the Disney shops or in one of the life board to be able to stay for 100+ days!! Love it! Sounds fun:cool1:

haha....the worst adjustment is when it finally ends and you're off the ship. For 4 months you've had such a life of leisure. We were on All Inclusive smaller ships which included excursions and free liquor plus because we had lots of nights with the cruise line we had free laundry service. When you finally re-enter the real world, the first time we went out to eat we ALMOST walked out on the check. It was like, HELLO...OMG we have to pay for this! That's when reality hits.

Longest cruise for me has been 14 nights - twice

25 nights on 3 cruises in one year.

14 night on DCL is NOT too long!!

I think jrabbit must be my twin. LOL (ok except for the 25 nights/3 cruises in a year part). 14 night twice (WBPC 1/2011 and Hawaii 10/2012) and it's NOT too long at all!

I feel blessed just to be able to have done a 4 nighter and a 7 nighter sorta b2b. I would love to see if I could handle 30+ days on DCL but I dont think my employer would care for that!

Sounds amazing. Which cruiseline did you go on?

Longest we've ever been are week long cruises (1 other cruise line & 1 DCL), but not bad considering neither myself or my dh are 30 yet :)
Though, my dream on DCL is to take a Transatlantic and Panama Canal cruise :)
Ultimately, I'd love to take a full World Cruise (too bad DCL doesn't do that!!)

P.S. We paid for both cruises ourselves ^_^
