Longer hours

We will be in Disney from May 4th-10th. All I have read states that the crowd levels will be from a 7-9! However MK is still closing every night we are there b/n 9 and 10. When and will they extend the hours?

EMH evenings are on Wednesday nights and the park is open for an additional 3 hours. I've talked to CM's at reservations and they said they have not noticed an increase in ressies for May from last year. I've seen crowd levels being at a 3. A lot of people won't take their kids out of school, spring breaks are over, and the southern state schools aren't even out yet. The summer ressies however are up by 15%! I wouldn't worry too much about it. They would extend hours (like during Easter week) if they noticed larger crowd trends.

AH! But don't quote me! lol. I saw you on TV! You were our favorite ultimate fan! I'm going to call Disney again tomorrow to see what the trends have been.

I asked a CM when I called and she said they have been booked for months, which I know isn't true. But I have put in our dates at the WDW website to see what I could come up with and it used to have openings at all the value resorts; now there are only openings at two of them I guess we'll never know until we get there....

I put in for a value resort for this May last December and it kept saying that nothing was available. I don't think the website is always accurate. We can only pray and hope. Besides, we'll all be in the happiest place on earth, so we'll have fun no matter what happens.

Still plenty of rooms available at all the Value resorts for May 6-8 and 13-15 just talked to them today. Could choose any of the value resorts. So I hope your level 7-9 is wrong and hope level 3 is more like it

I have been wondering about the hours too. I wish they would add more Spectros like they did for late April. (Only 2 resorts with openings does not sound uncrowded!) Seems weird to me. I wonder if off-site resorts are less booked up for May.

I think we won't know how the crowds are until we get there. Here's hoping that cm was right!

Well, I just called to confirm my PS for the 4-10 and they said the crowds will be comparable to the summer. So shouldn't they extend the hours?!?!?

I going May 7 to 13 and just tried availability online at all the deluxe resorts and they all had rooms available except for the Contemporary (convention?). All moderates had availablility except CSR (again, maybe a convention?). At the values, all had availability except All Star Movies. Doesn't sound too bad.
