Can anyone tell me, roughly, what the water temps are in Longboat Key? We will be there at the end of this month. I'n not a big Ocean swimmer, more of a shell collector and shoreline person, but I'm curious.

Any recommendations or tips? We only have 1 1/2 days on the beach so, for the most part, we'll just be beach bums.

Thanks...
Jess

Looks like it is around 70 degrees. Still a bit chilly for swimming, in my opinion. Blame it on the many cold fronts that have pushed from the west. The water is almost 5 degrees cooler than it was a couple weeks ago. According to the maps anyway.

I have no idea about the water temp, but i can tell you that LBK is absolutely beautiful. We visited when I was a teenager for my G'parents 50th wedding anniversary. It was amazing. We stayed at a resort-I can't remember the name, but I vivdly remember the beautiful sky and the lovliness of the area. It was late December, but the weather was fabulous. Oh the memories lol.

Enjoy!!

I think this is where we stayed
