They are having a tour in our area...where you can come and look at the baskets and they will give you a speil if you want to become a consultant. I don't want to become a consultant but I've never been to a party before and would just like to view the merchandise...Do you think that is ok? Or will this be high pressure sales?

Please share!

Usually, in an "Open House" situation, they don't give as much pressure as one on one contact! That has been my experience!

They have some beautiful baskets! Enjoy!

Run Holycow Run! Longaberger baskets are like potato chips - no body can buy just one.

I am a Longaberger consultant, and no, it will not be high pressure. But YES, they are like potato chips!:p I have abou 450 of them!

Go and have a good time! I became a consultant this month and am having a blast! I am in with a really fun and supportive branch.

I don't believe the tour will be high pressure. I think it would be a wonderful way to see the baskets and learn the history behind them...which is wonderful and inspiring.

450 Diane!!!! WOW!

Have a great time! It only takes one to get hooked!:) I always go on a bus trip once a yr. to Dresden, OH. Just imagine a bunch of crazy women that love Longaberger on a bus for a couple of hrs. We get up there and go crazy:crazy: !

Seashelley -- I see you took the "plunge" and became a consultant! Good luck to you!

Holycow -- I used to be a Longaberger consultant (for 2 years) and stopped a year ago. I was spending more on the baskets than I was making...

You will love their products, but prepare to spend BIG TIME for each one. They are of high quality and you pay for that! That's really the only reason why I became a consultant -- so I could get some baskets, etc. for the "sample" price. Probably had about 3 actual shows in a 2-year period!!!

And after that, there is the pottery! I spend a lot on that now! I love it!

I was a consultant years ago. I haven't seen anyone in this area that sells them. I would love to see a catalog though to see what's new.

crazyme5kids...you can see their products online. I go there and look all the time. I'm eyeing the new wrought iron candle holder. It holds three candles. But stupid me...threw away my flyer and it's not online yet! :(

If any consultants have a picture of the wrought iron candle holder(it's available next month) and could email it to me, I would be forever grateful. Also, if anyone has the measurements...I'd love those too. I want to place it on my table, but would like to have an idea of how large it is.
I guess this will teah me to be alittle more careful when I cleaning out my paper piles.;)

Thanks a bunch...
Wendy

Thanks everyone for replying!
I think I'll drag DH along too...maybe I can get him hooked! lol

Like Potatoe chips huh! too funny!

Does anyone know if I will be able to purchase anything there or will I have go through a consultant?

Thanks!

It depends on what kind of open house it is. If it is sponsored by a consultant's branch, there might be some items for sale, but usually you will have to order from the consultant jsut like you would at a show.

WendyZ, the candle holder stand is 20" lont by 4 1/2 high and 4 1/2 wide.

I got the wrought iron candle stand yesterday....it's GORGEOUS! I have it on my dining room table with 2 pillar candles and the Melody basket in the middle.

If you guys think the baskets are hard to stay away from ....HAVE you ever bought the pottery? It started out with the little votive holders THEN ....."well I only need the ones for Holloween " THEN ... "Oh the cereal bowls seem nice and deep" , "Well look at those little desert cups" and so on and so on ....

I dont even have to go to parties my friend accross the street is a consultant. BAD BAD BAD Mishell STOP buying it

Wishing everyone a Tagged night .
I can stop buying if I want to ( shaking and rocking back and forth clenching the catalog)

Thanks to everyone who said to go. I had a very nice time..and even won a door prize (white washed recipe basket) and got a free basket just for showing up.

My DH almost signed up as a consultant on the spot! He liked all of the products...and he is a much better sales man than I am! lol

I just wish they would have brought more of their procuct to display and not just what is in the sales kit...DH wants to buy that just to get the product.. I don't really want the committment plus I really don't know who I would sell to.

Thanks to all!

Lisa
