I won a trip at work and I am trying to think of a place to go. I have a couple options--one is a package trip to Kohler, Wisconsin for a nice golf weekend, drawback is it would be in April and can't count on the weather. The other option is a budget to go where ever, when ever. I would LOVE the Kohler trip if it is warm enough to golf but that is too iffy. My second choice would be to go somewhere late Jan early Feb, Fri-Monday type deal that is warm and golf would be a huge bonus. A short cruise might be an option too. The reward is about $1000 so it would either need to fall in that range or get cheep fights that we would pay for.

Dh doesn't want to go to Disney and I would like to go someplace we haven't been before, but I thought about Disney.

We're warm down here in South Florida! Or, what about Sanibel Island, Florida - it's on the southeast coast.

I wouldn't trust Wisconsin weather in April. If you could move the trip to July, then I would say go for it. Plus the golf course is right alongside Lake Michigan and it can be 10-20 degrees colder than the rest of the state, during the day, so the odds are really not in your favor.

I'd have to chance Kohler if it was me, LOL. But there is plenty of warm weather golf to be had in Arizona.

I've been to Kohler in April and it was snowing  How about Arizona? There are some great golf resort there.

In Jan/Feb you can probably get a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas for about $250 per person.

We just did that and it was kinda fun. Too short, but fun.

Arizona, Miami, San Diego? I do like the idea of a short cruise.

Clearwater Beach FL. We also got back from Fort Walton Beach recently and loved that too. You have to be careful in Feb-even in the south. We go to Clearwater Beach every Feb. -last year was beautiful-the year before they had a "winter" storm blow out of the Gulf. 45mph winds, driving rain and temps in the low 50's for 2 days. Even though it's FL it's still winter-but hey better than living up North

Vegas baby-leaving gambling out of it they have some great golf courses-its almost always warm-and there are usually cheap packages there for long weekends
