I will be traveling from Kansas City to Colorado Springs for a work-related class. I will be getting to KC airport by van and will arrive 4 hours before my flight to Colorado!

What is there to do at an airport besides read?!!

Sleep!;) Or bring one of those hand held games along like Solitare or Blackjack ect.

That's about it. I was visiting someone in KC once and due to their schedule I had to be dropped off at the airport eight hours early. Luckily Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six had just come out ( I think this was 1998) so I sat and read until it was time to go. I could have caught an earlier flight, but didn't want to spend the $75 it would have cost to change my ticket.

FOUR hours at MCI? Yikes. That is a lot of time to spend at that airport, it is not full of things to do (I know, I grew up in K.C.)

If you don't have a lot of carry-ons you can walk a lot, or else get some crossword books or a hand-held game. That is a LONG time to sit in an airport, longer than your flight. I think I'd keep moving if I could. :)

Just to kill some time, maybe you could catch a shuttle to an airport hotel. You could chill out in the lounge or the lobby. Not exciting, but the KC airport is pretty dull and maybe a hotel would be a little more comfortable.
