Long Wait at Airport

I will be traveling from Kansas City to Colorado Springs for a work-related class. I will be getting to KC airport by van and will arrive 4 hours before my flight to Colorado!

What is there to do at an airport besides read?!!

Sleep! Or bring one of those hand held games along like Solitare or Blackjack ect.

That's about it. I was visiting someone in KC once and due to their schedule I had to be dropped off at the airport eight hours early. Luckily Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six had just come out ( I think this was 1998) so I sat and read until it was time to go. I could have caught an earlier flight, but didn't want to spend the $75 it would have cost to change my ticket.

FOUR hours at MCI? Yikes. That is a lot of time to spend at that airport, it is not full of things to do (I know, I grew up in K.C.)

If you don't have a lot of carry-ons you can walk a lot, or else get some crossword books or a hand-held game. That is a LONG time to sit in an airport, longer than your flight. I think I'd keep moving if I could.

Just to kill some time, maybe you could catch a shuttle to an airport hotel. You could chill out in the lounge or the lobby. Not exciting, but the KC airport is pretty dull and maybe a hotel would be a little more comfortable.
