Hey everybody
We just got back from 10 wonderful days! We stayed at POR (which I adore) and I wasnt ready to leave on our last nite so I added a night at Pop (which I also adore, however this time we were on the 3rd floor as opposed to the 4th so noise was more abundant, but who cares?!)
Weather was great everyday except 1 day of rain (our first MK day, but it was still wonderful!)
Crowds picked up a lot the last few days we were there I didnt even bother doing any rides yesterday cos the lines were so long. We just walked around and soalked in the magic. We used Tour Guide Mike and he is wonderful, used him before and will use him again, never had crowd problems unless we deviated from his plans.
Expedition Everest is AWESOME!!! And please do yourself a favor, at least one time when riding, wait for the front row, HUGE DIFFERENCE!!
I talked to some CMs at PotC who were a lot of fun, and they told me all about the updates to pirates, obviously adding characters from the movie, but also some special effects and stuff like that...I CANT WAIT!!
AAANNNDDDD I FINALLY GOT MY PICTURE WITH PETER PAN!!! For YEARS I have been trying to get it, last time I came close but they were leaving JUST as we got there
But this time we got him and Wendy, it was so cool I almost cried!
We ate A LOT!! Heres a brief rundown of everything
Bomas - Fantastic as always! We always request Jules, she is by far and away the best server ever!
Tonys - Ok Ok, I decided to eat here becuase weve been watching Lady and the Tramp and thought it would be cute to eat there, and it was, its nice inside, service was great, food was so-so at best, but at least now I can say I did it
Marrakesh - Surprisingly good, I really did not know what to expect but it was delish, we were there just in time for the belly dancer show, she was great!
Ohanas - Food was AMAZING as always - service was actually BAD, she didnt even bring 2 of the meat choices to us, then dropped off desert and the check. I was kind of shocked, we asked if we could have hot towels like everyone else gets and she brought them, I dont think she meant to be bad, perhaps she was new. Anyway, I would go eat there if it was the worst server on the planet the food is so good!
Brown Derby - I hate to say it but I didnt like it, I really only wanted to eat there to try the grapefruit cake everybody here raves about...but I didnt like anything on the menu, SO, we shared the Cobb Salad (REALLY NOT GOOD) and ended up getting into a fight before we finished so we left and I NEVER GOT TO TRY IT!!! ARRRGGGHHH!!!!
I know I am in the minority here, just wasnt my place.
1900 park fare (breakfast) We did the character breakfast here, it was great! MAd hatter was SO funny, everything was great, a new favorite!
Everything was great, we had a wonderful time and my inlaws actually surprised us with a visit
We all had a great time, it was a first time for many of them so we got to be really cool know it alls!
Heres the bad stuff I noticed:
Let me say I am NOT A PICKY PERSON! Im not uptight at all, Im very laid back - however, some things actually got to me
1. The world seemed to be in bad repair. Honestly of all the 20 something times Ive been there this is the first time I was a little shocked at how many things were broken/dirty/not working properly etc. I really hope this is not a new trend.
2. Grumpy CMs - I have always been amazed at how wonderful CMs are! This trip though I have to say I cant believe how many were in bad moods and outright rude to guests. Dont get me wrong the majority were great and I am so thankful for them they are what make Disney so special to me!
