Hi, I haven't posted anything here for absolutely ages - but then I haven't been to DLP for over 3 years now.

The children have got a couple of inset days in November and so I'm looking into taking them to DLP for a four day mini trip. A friend of mine's DH is a Tour Operator and can get really good deals on hotels so I am just looking to buy park tickets.

I am a share-holder and so is it just best for me to buy them from Disney direct( Does anyone know offhand what the discount is for shareholders on park tickets?) or is there a website somewhere that offers really good discounts?

Also, has anyone ever bought these valid for a lifetime Fastpasses that show up on EBay? They look really tempting but also could be too good to be true - they never seem to go for that much money to me!

Thanks in advance,

Hi Joanne

Nice to see you back

You get 15% discount from Disney and for more than a three day trip are best with annual passes. Well for the adults anyway.

If you are travelling before 6th you may be even to get a child under 7's pass free (can't combine this with shareholder discount though)

I'm sure there is a thread about the fastpasses .I recall angelmc had some at one point.:thumbsup2

If you're there for 4 days you might want to look at annual passes and see if the benefits you get will make it cheaper - as a shareholder you get discounts on tickets and annual passes, think its 15%. There's a sticky in the FAQ which has a link to all the benefits.
I'm sure someone on here said they'd bought those fastpasses and they'd worked. It just gives you one extra go though, it isn't a VIP fastpass just an extra normal fastpass so you can hold two at the same time rather than one. That might be why they don't go for megabucks on ebay.

Hi Joanne - welcome back :goodvibes

The shareholder club discount is - Your valid Shareholders Club card gives you a 15% discount on One Day/One Park Tickets and Hopper Tickets (one, two or three days) purchased at Park entrance ticket windows only.

This discount cannot be combined with any other promotional offer or special offers, and excludes special events (including special nights). It is limited to a maximum of five tickets per member per day.

So I dont think you would find them any cheaper anywhere else.

I know there was a thread about the fastpasses but cant find it and if my memory serves me correct some DIsers did buy them. They may be worth a try unless someone reports otherwise :)

Thanks everyone.

Angela, unfortunately we miss the Kids free offer by one week! We will hopefully be going 13-16th Nov which I'm hoping will be the start of the Christmas season.

With the annual passes I don't know if they will benefit us as don't you buy them when you're there so you start using them on your next trip? I don't know when our next trip would be likely to be.

I'll try and hunt out the thread re the fastpasses later - thanks. The blurb I read about them on EBay made them sound like the best thing ever!

Thanks everyone.

That's only the Francillien - the others can be used for that trip too !

You can buy the annual passes on your first day and start using them immediately, as long as you don't get the cheapest one, Francilien.

Just had a quick look at the sticky on top of this page and the link re annual passports said they cannot be used on the 2nd or 3rd day after purchase. DIdn't specify which type of passport though.:confused3

Welcome back :wave2:
That is for the Francillien. Fantasy and Dream AP can be used immediatedly.
We go to guest services and buy temporary APs before entering the park. Then you swap these for the real thing at the AP bureau :thumbsup2

Hi Reid,

Can you get a Shareholders Discount when purchasing Annual Passports?

Excellent - thank you!

So, I buy 4 temp Fantasy or Dream Annual Passports and get my SH discount. Then, when I'm inside the park I buy 4 "proper" AP's and I get the money that I've already spent on the temp ones deducted? Is this the most cost effective way of doing it?

I've always just got a package direct from Disney before but this time I'm booking tickets/hotel and transport seperately and trying to get the best possible deal.

As you have paid for the AP at the front desk you'll not have to pay anything else when you get your temporary AP converted with a photograph into the real think :)
