Long term parking at LGA?

Hi, I noticed on the LGA website the long term parking is very small . Anyone get to park there and what are the chances that there will be space on a Saturday morning flight? How far is the long term parking, will I need to take a shuttle to the terminal?

Thanks in advance for any information/tips/ideas you can provide me with.

For LGA I would park at Avistar. We just used them from LGA in June and it was great. We were at the airport in 15 minutes. There is a coupon for a free day or a discounted week. Parking at LGA longterm is $30 a day and Avistar is $17. When you get home after you pick up your luggage you call them and they are there to pick you up within 15 minutes.

Totally agree with Mish. In October of 2004 we flew out of LGA for the first time (meeting family at the airport) and there was no parking available in the long term lot. We had to nervously drive around the airport until the guard waved us in. It was not a good way to start a trip!

Definitely do Avistar off-site! But if you do manage to get a spot in the long term parking, you won't need to take a shuttle. It is right across from the terminal.

Avistar or another off site guaranteed parking spot is the way to go. The long term lot at LGA is pretty small considering the size of the airport, and you very well not find a spot.
We have used Avistar at LGA/JFK/EWR and found them to be very good. Make sure you make a reseveration in advance or they will be full.

Avistar at LGA would seem to be your best deal but truth should be told. LGA long-term IS NOT $30/day. It is however $30 for first 48 hrs and $15/day thereafter-still quite expensive - about $135/week. As in JFK disableld/handicap placard or plate gets you $15/day parking. I looked it up so you wouldnt have to.

You should get a reservation at any lot you pick. You might be out of luck if you show up without one.
