Aloha,

Where can I find the long range schedule for DL rehabs and closings?

For example, when does Star Wars go down (Mar 10?) and come back on line?

Also, when does the Matterhorn Bobsleds come back on line after going down (Feb 10?)?

Lastly, what rides are expected to open/closed/under construction at DCA in Dec 10?

I ask because I am trying to plan a week long family vacation to DLR at either Dec 10 or Dec 11. I am assuming I will get better rates/lower costs in Dec 10 but better ride options in Dec 11.

Any answers and advice y'all can provide will be greatly appreciated. Mahalo in advance.

Where did you get Feb 10 for Matterhorn? I still see it going down on Feb 1 on Disney's site.

As far as picking between 2 days, 1 day apart, 11 months from now... There is a pretty good chance that what is open on the 10th will be open on the 11th. ;)

edit... Oh I see what you are talking about... You are asking the difference between Dec 2010 and Dec 2011. I say go 2010. There won't be much difference between 2010 and 2011. The only ride opening in 2011 is the new Ariel ride. Cars land is slated to open in 2012. So go in 2010 and then again in 2012:thumbsup2. Keep your eye on miceage.com for articles and info about the future of DLR.

Aloha,

Thank-you for the replies. It appears to me HydroGuy is DLR's version of WDW's Robo! Greatly appreciate all of the info.

I was totally unaware of the incredible rise and impact of AP holders on DLR. Wow. Hopefully the Disney executives will raise the price of the various AP accounts to lower the volume of AP holders. Obviously the current prices of APs (including PAPs and DAPs) are too low.

I am trying to plan a trip to DLR in mid-December for either 2010 or 2011 and the AP factor has me greatly worried. Also at first blush it appears to me that is much easier to plan a trip to WDW than to DLR. However, I shall make great use of y'alls recommended sites for my planning adventure!

I have my moments, but I am not anywhere near as funny as Robo. Also, last I checked Robo had over 30,000 posts. It took me 5 years to get to my current 5000 posts so I guess I need another 25 years to get to 30,000. Someone may have to put a laptop with WiFi in my coffin to get there.

It's kinda like comparing castles. You may be smaller (in number of posts), but very much loved for what you are. :thumbsup2
