Long Men's Shorts?

I know this is the Budget Board, but everyone on here seems to know a lot about shopping in general.

I am trying to find some new casual shorts for the upcoming summer and our trip to Disney World. I am a male about 6'3", 170 and like shorts to go to/below my knees and be at least somewhat loose. I do not want cargo shorts.

Any suggestions as to where I can locate shorts that are long enough? I can find long cargo shorts, but most non-cargo shorts are not long enough for my personal tastes.

Just a suggestion since I don't know what size you wear but you might want to try American Eagle. I know they have an extended length short. My husband gets just the slightly longer ones, but I know they do make longer lengths there

The style for the last 2 years has been shorter inseams on men's shorts. I've found them as short as 6" with 9" being the norm. Both of my sons like the longer length as well. They're hard to find. I've been lucky at Kohls but they were cargo shorts.

You could do a search for lacrosse shorts if you like that style or board shorts

Old Navy has some. My son is 6'4 and he wears cargo shorts, but I see that Old Navy has shorts, in the Tall sizes, that are not cargo. 11 1/2 inch inseam.

I just asked thois very same question of my 6'8" friend. DS16 is built just like you and likes the longer shorts. My friend said he gets his shorts in the JC Penney Tall Men's section. I have to check it out.

Many board shorts are super long and great for Disney because they are cool and quick dry.

My son is about your size and likes long loose shorts also. Recently tried a men's big and tall pair in size small from Kohls and they fit him well. He was happy and with coupon they were $12. I will be buying more next trip.

You could also try a store that sells "urban wear" such as Sean John shorts they tend to run longer.

My son is 6'6" and I have had luck at JC Penny, Kohls, Gordman's, and a local place that sells Carhartt etc.

Best advice I can give...look for "Basketball" length and keep trying. I have a place that will tailor cargo pants and jeans into shorts.

JC Penny has long lengths online.

Try one of the big and tall shops, maybe? Also: JCPenney, Lands End and LLBean.

Another vote for American eagle. Last spring they had shorts called long board shorts that were greAt for my 6'6 inch husband and 6'5 inch son. I hope they have them this year!

You might want to try PacSun as well. I'm only 5'9 but prefer shorts to at least fall at the knee or slightly longer. Above the knee thing is not for me either.

Dickies brand has shorts with 11" and 13" inseams. Most are "work shorts", but they have some fashion styles too. K-Mart sells them in my area. Their web site has 15" inseams also.
