Long LL Lines

I’ve been reading about all the long LL lines. It’s concerning for our upcoming trip. My son has difficulty past 20 minutes and some people are saying LL is at 60+. Are their enough activities with faster waits to help with those that have DAS? He doesn't like character meet/greets and I need some plans to keep him occupied. I want to be sure to prep him prior to leaving on 10/27. Thanks!

I know this can vary wildly, but we went in August and had very few Lightning Lane entrance waits that went more than 10 minutes. There were some times that we approached a ride we had a DAS return time for and saw a long line in the LL queue. We would bypass to something else for a little bit and come back. When it happened, it was typically because the ride had been temporarily shut down and it needed a bit more time operating to clear out the LL queue. The LL queues weren't persistently long all the time. There were plenty of other attractions that we could select a Genie+ time for that were less than 10 min out and had short waits in the LL queue. The two systems worked really well together, especially in the MK.

Back in April, we only hit 3 outrageous LL lines with our DAS user- Test Track, Soarin', and Under the Sea. For Test Track and Soarin', there didn't appear to be a special reason for the outrageously long LL, other than it's just where the LL puts you in the queue. We waited almost a full hour on both and it was extremely difficult. We had actually turned to leave Soarin' because our DAS user couldn't do it any longer, but a CM moved us up in the line. For Under the Sea, it was clearly the result of a prior ride break down. We waited for about 40 minutes and our DAS user couldn't do it anymore, so we left and never returned.

All that being said, I don't think that long LL queue is common for most rides unless there is a situation like Under the Sea where they were still recovering from having been down. I think Test Track and Soarin' are susceptible for the long LL lines because of where their lines join. I'm not sure if there are any others like that though.

It’s been really crazy at Disneyland even in LL. a lot of the times it’s because people are not scanning the passes so while a line may look like it’s still quick. But I heard yesterday was the busiest day of the year so it was another level.

Their are enough activities to help you plan your waits. We were lastly there in July and the LL were horrible. There were some where the wait time is easily exceeded 60 minutes.

Thanks y’all! Some people get it and y’all do!!

Hoping with the raise in cost of G+ and ILL it will help with some of the longer lines since we will be there at a peak time. Hopefully DS will be understanding 🙈
