Long line and empty bus?

On Jan. 31, there was LONG line at the airport waiting for a DME bus to All-Stars (at least two bus loads of folks). After a while the line moved some, then stopped. We were probably still 20 people back. Then they started calling for "party of 2". There was only 2 of us, so we stepped up. I figured the bus would be full, and we'd be taking the last 2 seats. Wrong! The bus was barely half full. There was still plenty of room in the luggage space beneath the bus too, so that wasn't the issue.

Any ideas on why they would run a half empty bus where there were people waiting?

that's really odd... although i know they try not to overwhelm the front desk w/full busloads of people all at the same time... but when that many are waiting, does it matter where you wait?! i'd rather wait at the resort than the airport! it's one of those things that make you go hmmmm...

It's quite possible that one of the Mears boarding reps miscounted the folks getting on board. I can't really think of any reason why they would do that.

Unless of course, the All-Stars were split... -OR- the large crowd was part of a large group.

Nah... they wouldn't put a bus in service if it wasn't 100%.

It's quite possible that one of the Mears boarding reps miscounted the folks getting on board. I can't really think of any reason why they would do that.

Unless of course, the All-Stars were split... -OR- the large crowd was part of a large group.

Mis-count by half a bus worth? The was only one line in the airport for all of the All-Stars, and there were folks on the bus from all 3.

It's possible to miscount by half a bus... remember, the greeter cannot see into the bus past the first few rows.

What time did your flight get in??? I was in line for All Stars that morning and yelled back for "2"....maybe I yelled to you? How funny would that be???

We got in about 10:15 - it was probably around 11:00 when we were in line.

OMG!!!! That was me! Our flight got in about the same time and we were standing in that looong line too!! Well, (a little late now, but) nice to meet ya! How about that????
