Our flight doesn't leave until 5:30PM after our cruise. Our family of four would like to end our Disney Magic cruise on a high note. We have considered the following:
  • renting a car and go sightseeing
  • using a luggage check service and enjoy Miami
  • rent a day space at a local hotel
  • hang out at the airport (worst case scenario)
Any other recommendations or strong opinions? The kids are older so it would be like having 4 adults traveling. Thank you in advance!

I'm in favor of the day room (do any of the airport hotels have them?). You get up sooooo early that morning, so some extra down time (watching TV, using swimming pool, have a leisurely lunch, repacking, just generally resting) is pretty nice.

We ve done the day room
Relax, swim... eat
Nice way to end a cruise. Enjoy!

Disney does offer a post-cruise excursion in Miami that includes a hop on hop off bus with several options and then transfers to the airport. You can only sign up for this once on board.

I'd rent a car. There are some lovely beaches, restaurants and shopping in and around Miami.

Enjoy Miami. The Miami Beach public beach area is nice, the South Pointe pier and park area is cute as well.

Lots of good restaurants in the area. I loved having breakfast at Big Pink and Puerto Sagua's cubano sandwiches. :)
