What’s the cheapest way from Long Beach airport to a harbor hotel ?

I always use ride share since it's usually only 2 of us and we don't generally leave the resort.

It's also very easy to rent a car there; you just take the crosswalk over from the airport and the cars are right there in the lot.

ETA: before uber/lyft, I used to take a taxi. I'm not sure how much a taxi is now--it might be comparable to ride share. My last 2 trips ran $31 and $35 (one way).

For me it depends on the time of day whether I use uber/lyft or take a taxi. The flat rate for a taxi from Long Beach to the Harbor hotels/Disneyland is $47 and during non rush hours I have found the uber/lyfts to be about $35 like the above poster says but during peak times they are running about $45 so at that point I choose the taxi because it is right there ready to go so worth the extra $2 for me.

Good points! Check the fare before booking uber or lyft, and check both because there's sometimes a fairly large difference between them. I, too, would go with a taxi if rideshare was close to the same price.

I've never actually taken a taxi before. Can someone explain flat rate? I've heard that some taxi's charge per person and others charge per trip. I'm confused.

There is a big sign right at the taxi stand (across the street from the terminal) that lists a (flat) rate..... cost to travel to different areas including the DLR area. ONE price per taxi, no matter how many people (and there are minivans available for larger parties. Very easy and no waiting.

You should verbally confirm with the driver when you walk up to the taxi that you want the flat rate and what that rate is. Some drivers have been difficult about honoring it for us in the past, so you want to verbally confirm the rate before getting into the taxi.

OK, last time I didn’t prebook my Uber and it was $105 (premium time ). I’m now booking for my trip next week, Uber came in at $87 but Lyft was only $47. This is for early Sunday morning, which I didn’t really see as a “prime” time. I’ve never used Lyft, always Uber. is it truly comparable, ie professional drivers, clean cars? My last trip, I got to ride in a new Tesla and it was only $45, on a Tuesday.

Anyone taken taxi lately? What was flat rate? How do you pay? I haven’t taken a taxi for decades! Are they clean? Smelly? My memories of them are not fond. I think they’re kinda “sketchy”…probably just my past experiences.

Getting close…I’m finalizing outfits, coordinating ears and backpacks, packing my steamer trunk 😂🤣

Mani and pedi, then I’m ready to go!

Is this from LGB? That seems like an atrocious price (unless you have a larger party and need a van or something). I don't see why Sunday morning would be that much. I don't think I've ever paid more than $50 and usually it's more like $35-37. I'd definitely go with the flat rate taxi if the rates when you arrive are that high.

I rarely prebook Uber or Lyft--only did it once when my dd and I had multiple places we had to go within a weekend that were all over the LA-OC areas. For DLR, I use whichever ride share service is cheaper and book when I arrive (within the same time window--I'm not going to wait an extra 20 min to save a few bucks). I've not found there to be much difference between the two in terms of service and vehicles but often, one will be significantly cheaper for some reason.

Nope, all by my onesie. Yes, from LGB which I’ve been flying into instead of John Wayne as flights are waaaaayyyyy cheaper. I’ll probably just stick with the Lyft. It’s comparable to what I normally pay from SNA.

Uber or Lyft. I just price to see which one is cheaper, and they generally run about $35 before tip.
