long Awaited trip report Day 2

The Long Awaited Trip Report-Day 2 Laughs and Light-up Ice-cubes!

The Crew:

Me: (13) Head Navigator, shopaholic and hater of IASM (don’t shoot me!)
Sarah: (10) All-round princess , scaredy-cat and lover of IASM princess:
Dad: (jmichael1) Chief-payer, head chauffeur and basically in-charge :earsboy:
Mum: (Wouldn’t You like To Know!) Disney-fanatic (although she will not admit it) and pin-collecting genious :earsgirl:

I woke up this morning making sure that the bed was still there and I wasn’t lying on the floor and just hadn’t noticed yet.
We got up did the usual morning routine, got dressed and headed out for breakfast. Sarah charging onto a hammock and then proceeding to fall off the other side onto the slightly damp sand. :rotfl:

Breakfast this morming……more Mickey waffles and pancakes. Maybe I should try and vary my diet……..hmmm let’s think, NO! Seriously these are just to yummy not to eat!
Also managed to eat my way through some cereal and some pineapple. Yum! :goodvibes

Go for a first look in the shop. Good stuff in here! Nice earrings, tee-shirts….wow everything is nice here!!!!
Back to the room to get blocked-up and then head off to MGM :sunny:

Ahh…..MGM my dad’s favourite park. Decide to make our way up to the sorcerer mickey hat then go to the Great Movie Ride.
I like this ride, except for the Wizard of Oz bit. That is just plain freaky ~shudder~ :scared:
The follow the yellow brick road nonsense does my head in!!!! I always avoid it when it is on the TV.
Anyways, back to the ride. It was fun especially when you are up the front and talk to the driver about life, the universe, and how actually you drive this thingymabob.
It’s even more fun annoying the “bad” guy! :wave2:

Next we head off to the Backlot Tour. After watching unsepecting “volunteers” getting soaked we head off to get onto the tram. :confused3 Muggins here forgets that you might get wet if you are sitting on the right side and automatically gets in first. Ooops. I only discover this just as we pull away from the platform and are told to remain in our seats. I pull on my light blue jacket and prepare to get wet. :umbrella:

With my nose dripping slightly I am promised that we will get pictures of me beside the things from the set of Pirates of the Caribbean pirate: later and head off to see the Muppet Show. :teeth:

Later :hourglass

After The Muppet Show and The Little Mermaid one we decide to get some ice-cream at Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice-cream Of Extinction and sit at one of the green metal tables. Then we go and get FP’s for Star Tours and go and get those pictures taken.

“Where are we going next????” Sarah asks
“Beauty and the Beast????”
“Yeaahhhhhh!!”

Dad buys us popcorn and we sit and watch Beauty and the Beast.
Ahh…..the wonderous thing that is Air Con! Where one earth would we be without it!?

With a few stops at the Villians shop and other shops down that way(We totally missed out TOT as I have and extreme fear of lifts and that would be a “bad thing” to go on) then go and see the parade.

Our FP time for Star Tours has come around and we get on it fairly quickly, meeting another family on the way in before taking our seats and buckling ourselves in.
A few years back we had sat down, the CM had left the room bit and we were all waiting expectantly for the ride to begin. After five minutes we heard a banging on the door and discovered that there was a slight problem in getting the ride to start. Fortunatley everything turned out okay!
Now, my mum does NOT like this ride because of the motion. Personally I love it! It’s great!! Just all the excitement of getting thrown about is great!!!!

Leaving Star Wars (with a slightly green looking mum) we head towards 50s Prime Time, where our PS for the night was. We get in just as it starts to rain, and find ourselves a “living room” in that waiting area and meet a family of a daughter, parents and grandparents. So Mum and Dad get talking to the grandparents and parents and Sarah gets talking to the little girl. So I am left on my own. Pity, well not really just and excuse to go people-watching!
Wait….we have been called! Let’s go and eat!!

After
:hourglass
I can’t move…..too full!!!!! No seriously, I may have to get rolled home! I take my light up ice-cube out of the cup and pocket it. We pay our bill say bye to “Mom” then quickly buy some pins and head up towards the Fantasmic Entrance. We are seated and I am sent for some popcorn. We start to get restless so…..
“Sarah-Catch!!!”
“Eeeeek!” :duck: Sarah squeals and ducks as a light-up ice-cube goes flying past her head and onto the ground
“No Sarah, catch it not watch it fly past you! Pick it up before we lose it!”
She reluctantly picks it up just as the lights come up on stage and the performance begins

Getting out of there wasn’t that hard! Okay it was a bit crowded but hey, that’s life. We head back to CBR, crawl into bed, watch “Whose Line Is It Anyway” again and go to sleep.

What will we do tomorrow I wonder…..hmmmmm?? :cloud9:

The above report actually written by my daughter Helen but she's been having great problems gettng new threads to post for her on the boards. See dad's are useful for something after all (other than paying for stuff )

:rolleyes1
