Long Awaited HoneyMoon

Hey guys

first post on this board...you guys rock.

Finally taking my DW on our long awaited DHM.

Her first time to the world so i hope to make things special.

we are staying at the AKL and i was wondering if i should inform them that it is

HM? as well should i inform the parks?? make my wife wear those adorable HM

ears?

As well could you guys give me some planning tips?

Welcome to the boards, and congratulations on your wedding!! I would inform AKL that it is your honeymoon, maybe when you make the reservation. They might not do anything special, but they definitely won't do anything special if they don't know!

When you go to the parks, head to "guest relations" at most of the parks or "city hall" in the Magic Kingdom and ask for the "Magical Wishes" pin/button. And wear them everywhere.

The ears will definitely inform people that it is your honeymoon, but you might not always feel like wearing them. The cast members were very good about noticing the pins and they worked just as well in letting people know you were honeymooning.

You can also inform Disney when you call to make Advanced Dining Reservations at the restaurants, if you'd like.

You might not get anything more then a bunch of "congratulations" but even those are nice!

We are going to akl for our belated dhm early sept. I am so excited. I called and made the ressies and advised the cm that I would be coming for my honeymoon and we will be also celebrating my husbands bday. The cast member noted the ressies for everything dining ect. we also were given the numbers for the carriage rides, disney florist, and room svc.

We plan on doing the Savanna Romance dinner in the room the first night so they gave me the number to order after checkout because we have a evening arrival.

Yes i think it's worthwhile to inform the parks about your honeymoon. Do the same thing while making your dining reservation at Disney restaurants as well.
