Absoloutly terrible! I am so shocked at how ill minded people can be. I am so angry at the moment I cant help, but think terrible thoughts about what our troops should do. Its wrong, but I am so angry.

My thoughts are with those who lost thier life and to thier families.

Carolfoy and Frances999 - I understood where your posts were coming from and took no offence or anything. The ramifications of these attacks are going to be felt around the country and the world in all aspects of life.

I for one am just so relieved to see people posting, British and American, with messages of support and to hear that our DIS friends are safe.

Luckily for me I decided to "work from home" today so I managed to avoid being caught up in all of this.

A positive note is that it's good to see the Police and Emergency services reacting positively to a well-drilled plan of action.

How indescribably awful!! My heart goes out to all affected. Since 9/11 I have been terrified of flying to the point where I have to be heavily medicated. Hoping the panic attacks won't happen on trains and buses now too. I have read that there was some worry that WDW may be a target of these evil terrorists. That would be the lowest of all lows!!! My family escaped Northern Ireland in the 70's when the IRA and UVF etc were active and in full force but it seems nowadays there is nowhere to escape to!

Just had another call from my friend who is absolutely terrified, they thought they were going to be evacuated but there wasnt time and now they have been locked inside the building as its not safe to go outside and have been warned they may have to stay the nght there, she said several suspicious devices have been found by the police. Im very worried for her.

A friend of mine at work does a lot with the Red Cross and has just had a call to say be on standby as they may be needed and we're 40+ miles from London.

Jen - How scary once again I hope that your friend is allowed home as soon as possible. My thoughts are with her and everyone caught up in this.

I too wanted to state my pride in the emergency services. All those drills were probably tedious to those who had to take part but so worthwhile now we can see how well prepared they were to cope with this. It's just so tragic that it was, ultimately, inevitable no matter what we did.

I work and live in Coventry, where apparantely the whole of the city centre has been closed and the ring road and surrounding roads also, i am praying it is some eejits who have sick minds who think its funny to leave suspicious parcels lying around, but I will keep you posted.
