London To DLP...???? Help!!!!!

My family will be in London for Christmas week and we would love to take a train to Paris to spend at the very least ONE DAY in DLP.

Does anyone know what we need to do? Sorry, this is a loaded question BUT I think we can take a train to Paris and then what do we do? We need to get to DLP and we need a hotel. (3 people).

This would be Dec 30-Jan 1...because I already have my flights out of Heathrow to return Jan 3rd, so we still have to get back to London to fly home.

Do we even have enough time? We will be with some other family members through the 30th and then they return to Boston hence us heading to Paris.

ANY SUGGESTIONS I WOULD SO APPRECIATE!!!!

You can catch the Eurostar direct to DLRP, I believe it travels every day except Christmas Day and it takes you from Waterloo Station in London virtually to the entrance of the Disney parks! There is information about it in the Useful Info sticky at the top of the page here and if you look here on the official DLRP website you will find details of the hotels. You can also check out our Hotel FAQ sticky for more info.

Although you will be going at the busiest time of the year, you should still find it possible to see/do most things in your time there. It is also the most beautiful time as the Christmas decorations are spectacular!

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong LOL but the park was originally Euro Disney, then Disneyland Paris (hence DLP) but is now called Disneyland Resort Paris (DLRP).

I don't think anybody ever liked the name Euro Disney but you will find we call it both DLP and DLRP on here!

I think you are right, I think it changed to DLRP when the studios opened.

apparently Euro sounded to political, actually its a good thing they changed it or it would of had the same name as a currency, which would of been ironic as some people think its too expensive.

I'm still sticking with Disneyland Paris, as I refuse to add the Resort bit!!!!! Afterall, very few people refer to WDWR (Walt Disney World Resort) or DLR (Disneyland Resort). I think all the "Resorts" were added round about the same time - and Hong Kong is the only one that doesn't have it in its name.

The pronunciation of Euro is rather ugly, isn't it? Though I'm sure I remember hearing it pronounced "Aero" - which made it sound much nicer.

OKAY UK: I have a question....I am getting NO AVAILABILITY as far as seats goes on the Eurostar for Dec 30th - Jan 1st....I have tried both Waterloo and Ashford to DLP....do you all think it is too far away (the dates) for me to actually book this ride. (3 Adukts).

Maybe I should CALL someone to book these seats! Do you know who I should call?

My son who is studying at the University of Glasgow for this semester asked me if there was another train station we could come into in Paris and then take a regional bus over to DLP.

I reallllllly want to do this so bad!!!!

I've just looked at the website and there are leisure select (first class) seats available. The website is very misleading and makes it look like there are no seats at all but it is actually only the standard seats that have sold out. Coming back on the 1st January there are still both classes of seat available. Don't know what class of travel you were thinking of but leisure select is very nice and you are served a lovely meal at your seat. IMO, it's well worth the extra money.

I've just played around with the website and when I put in one adult I can get both classes of seat available but as soon as I put in two or three adults it says Standard is sold out. It might be worth giving Eurostar a ring, their telephone number is 08705 186 186 and they are very helpful. Sorry but I am not sure what code you would use from USA.

This is perfectly do-able or you can also take an indirect Eurostar to DLRP via Lille, again very do-able, it's just that the direct service is so much easier!
