We’ve been in London since Wednesday, sailing the Magic out of Dover on Sunday. We did our Covid test using walk-in service by Prenetics at the Hyatt Regency Churchill Hotel this morning. They are open for the DCL cruise testing from 9 am to 12 noon (0900 to 1200), located in one of the meeting rooms easily found from the lobby. They will be there Fridays and Saturdays in advance of the remaining Dover Magic cruises (September 4, 11, and 18). We paid £30 pp, half the rate Prenetics is charging at the port, and we had our Clear to Sail QR codes in our Prenetics account about the time we got back to our hotel through the London traffic (we are not staying at the Churchill).

I’m posting this because it took me five emails with Prenetics to finally get the testing schedule. All they wanted to tell me was the process for the pre-cruise testing at the port on the sailing date.

Good to know. We will use that as our backup plan. Right now we are scheduled with Onpoint for a proctored test.

We tested this morning using eMed/Navica tests and I was impressed with how quickly Prenetics cleared us to sail after I uploaded the test results. One was cleared in less than one minute and the other cleared about 5 minutes later.

Good to see a post about the cruise we're on!! I'm still so fearful that even though we got a prenetics "clear to sail" bc of 90 day recovery letters we got after we all got covid that somehow something will go wrong 😅 🙃 🙈

Thank you so much for this information. We are on the September 18th sailing and staying at the Hyatt Regency London the Churchill. It is good to know that Prenetics will be testing on the two days prior to sailing, and will put the results in our Prenetics account. I'm not tech savvy at all, and was concerned that I would have a hard time uploading results.

how much per nite are you being charged? we are on the 2023 fjord cruise with a family of 4 and that required either two rooms or "the family room" at 1800 dollars a nite which is totally effing ridiculous.

booked thistle marble arch 2 blocks over. for like 1100 dollars total for 3 nites.

I booked the hotel through DCL, and it was a total of $1,075 including breakfast for the two nights. We are also using DCL transportation this time around which will make all of the traveling easier for us as it will be only my husband and I this time around.

thanks - it seems that traveling with a group of 2 or 3 results in significant price differences :(.
