London Hotels

I need quick advice on London area hotels. I have been told that the Kensington area is a nice and convenient area to stay in and have found a hotel called the Enterprise Hotel on Hogarth Road. Can anyone comment on the area or the hotel? Or do you have any other suggestions? We will be flying in and out of Stansted.

We are 10 minutes from Stansted airport - there is a Hilton close to the airport but it would be useless as a base.

Just having a look and found www.london-discount-hotel.com
And they seemed to have some good deals.
I stayed in a wonderful hotel last year in Kensington called The Rembrandt. It was opposite the Victoria and Albert Museum.
I would recommended it, it was fabulous! Can't say how much it cost because it was a work event so they picked up the bill!! But what I can remember, it was very near the tube station and Harrods wasn't far either.

Thanks Kell-Bell. I managed to make some reservations this morning at the Travel Inn County Hall, it was recommended by others on another thread. I had tried to book them a few days ago, but there were no family rooms available, I guess I just got lucky today.

That is absolutely great news.It is in an outstanding place to stay.

Directly outside your hotel is the pick-up point for something called a Frog Tour, on a second world war amphibious thingy.You go on a tour around London then it goes onto the River Thames and is a boat.Hardly any Londoners have heard of this,I've done it three times,I love it www.frogtours.com I can highly reccomend this as something unusual and unique to do.
