The best I can figure is that vets/experts recommend using a spray bottle on cats to help correct undesirable habits (ie: using the berber carpet as scratching post, using the under side of your mattress as a scratching post at 3:00am, things like that) ;)

Our vet told us this too when we first adopted our fur-covered puke machine. However we adopted one of many maladjusted cats who thought the spray bottle was fun to play with. Loves the spray bottle...hates the pool. Go figure. :sad2:

We have a fur-covered puke machine too, everyday with the barfs :headache:

Hates the pool :rotfl:

I had a cat like that, too...she even liked to get in the shower with me and play with the spray at the very edge, swatting the water all around. The spray bottle (and squirt gun...though I never tried a Super Soaker. Hmm... ;) ) had absolutely zero effect on her.

I was getting ready to shower this morning when my ragdoll went in the stall. I figured she was just getting a drink, but then she laid down and got comfy. Because, what else do I have to do all day, if not watch her snooze in my shower?

I turned on the shower. I'm thinking she won't do that again soon. I should probably check all my shoes for passive-aggressive retorts.

I don't have to spray my cats anymore! All I have to do is pick up the spray bottle and they immediately stop whatever they are doing. Of course, my cats respond to the "hallway" command I give the dogs every morning when I kick the animals out of my room. :rotfl:
