crazy cat won't drink out of a water dish for his life. ??????

He'll drink out of the toilet....the vase of flowers.......the soapy water I'm trying to wash dishes in..... the bathtub.......but not a nice bowl on the floor or counter. If I put it in a bowl he tips it over. I've tried 15 different size and shape bowls now. I thought I had a winner with a big rectangular tupperware but now two days later he's back on the table drinking out of my daughters fishbowl.

I had one that only drank "moving" water. She would push her bowl until she made waves and then she would drink. The other one disliked putting her snout into the dish and would scoop up the water in her paw like a racoon! Sadly, both are gone now and the latest batch have no such quirks (not with the water anyway!). Gotta Love Em!!!!!

My Sassy Cat does that! She dips her paw in all dainty like and then licks the water off. The dogs look at her like she has lost her mind.

It really was a hoot to watch! This cat also loved high places and her favorite spot (in the good ol' days when you could let your animal outside) was to climb up to the roof and lay in the rain gutter with just her head showing so she could survey "her" world! Don't let anyone tell you cats don't have any personality!!!

That is just my Sassy! She LOVES high places, and will scare me to death sometimes! I am not sure how she gets into that little space between the ceiling and the top of the cabinets, but she will just stare at me and I jump every time! You'd think I would be used to it by now.

Our other cat Ms. Jinx really is a jinx to herself. We didn't realize how aptly we named her, but oh my goodness! When she was a kitten she jumped into the refrigerator when we weren't looking, and we spent two hours looking for her. Something told my husband to open the fridge door, and she rolled out all happy and chilled. The next thing she did was fall out of my daughter's second-floor window unhurt. She ended up on the outside of the dining room window meowing to get back in.

Cats really do have their own personalities.

My last cat would dash for the bathroom anytime anyone went in. He would then jump up on the sink and meow till you turned the faucet on low for him to drink. Company would sometimes ask, what's that cat want? lol

One of our cats, Snowball (yes, he is white) will ONLY drink from the beta fish's bowl. The poor fish- we have to remember to add water or he will end up high and dry. Can only think of the nightmares this fish must have. Funny thing is, Snowball could easily EAT the fish, but nope, just drinks the water. Must like the taste- kind of evian flavored water for cats.
