BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.—Another warrant, another court hearing for Lindsay Lohan.

Lohan has been ordered to appear at a hearing on Friday after a judge issued an arrest warrant for failing a drug test less than a month after she was released from inpatient rehab.

Superior Court Judge Elden Fox revoked Lohan's probation in her three-year-old drug case Monday and issued a bench warrant which was immediately stayed, allowing her to remain free until the hearing to determine if she violated her probation.

Previously, Fox had threatened the actress with 30 days in jail for each violation. He must now decide whether to send her back to jail or into treatment.

Lohan confirmed on her Twitter page last week that she failed the court-ordered drug and alcohol screening.

"Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test," she tweeted.

She also said, "substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn't go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it."

Lohan often posts updates on her verified account.

A message left with Lohan's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley was not immediately returned.

Lohan was released from jail on Aug. 2 after serving 14 days of a 90-day sentence for violating her probation in the 2007 case involving drug use and driving under the influence.

Fox took over the case last month and laid out a path paved with therapy sessions and 12-step meetings that could have finally brought Lohan's drug case to an end.

Another judge had required her to begin a three-month stint in rehab at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Fox, however, agreed on Aug. 25 to release her from inpatient rehab after reviewing reports by her doctors and medical records from a three-year period.

Despite ordering an intense regimen of counseling and therapy, Fox gave Lohan some incentives to succeed. He dismissed two drug counts to which the actress pleaded guilty in 2007.

Lohan also dropped her $100 million lawsuit over a Super Bowl ad for E-Trade that featured a "milkaholic" baby named Lindsay, according to documents filed Monday in a Manhattan court.

I do agree with her that drug abuse is hard to come over and takes time..but it doesn't seem like she is surrounding herself with the right people or really even trying...

I have been saying this on here for a while now and getting flack for it! She is an addict. It does not take one jail sentence, everyone disagreed on here. And you are right! This is going to take some time for her!! She just will NOT admit that she has a problem!! She cannot get well till she believes it!
Addiction is a sad thing to go thru..
But the only one who can do it is her, no courts, no jail...nothing!

How unfortunate. ASide from the personal implications of her actions, I think she may find herself going the way of Tara Reid professionally. No production will be able to get insurance for her to work.

She really is ruining her own life. I guess jail wasn't rock bottom.

I wish the media would leave her alone - I wonder if the drug dealers who are providing her spend half as much time in jail as she does??

oh give me a break! No one is forcing her to screw up her life and waste the wonderful opportunities she has been given. There are thousands of other young women out there just as talented that didn't get the breaks or the chances she did and screwed up. Send her butt to jail like any other 20 something in this country would get if they messed up their parole the way she has and be done with it. She isn't anything that special that couldn't be found in almost any top notch music program or acting program in this country. I say send her to jail and move on.

Unfortunately, she is surrounded by people who make excuse after excuse for her so she really has no consequences. It's sad but until she wants help:confused3

The one thing I do notice is that everyone(media) is always talking about how 'talented' she is. Am I missing something? She was a cute kid and made a couple of decent movies but she is far from the next Meryl Streep imo. She's a dime a dozen and if it weren't for her 'party girl' rep, she'd be just another actress. Well, either way, I hope she kicks her worthless parents to the curb and gets some real help.

Exactly. And most don't beat it the first time around-they almost always fall off the wagon. I don't think she has anyone that would be helpful to surround herself with-it sure doesn't seem like her parents are trying to help in anyway. Were either of them in court with her? I do feel for her, she doesn't seem to have a chance.

Her mother's going to be shocked when she finds out Lindsay is actually an addict. :scared1: :scared1: :rotfl:

I have to agree on this. I only liked her in the parent trap. When she got older her voice sounded like she was trying too hard in movies.

Part of my point, why is she getting so much publicity? I still say the drug dealers are probably walking around town free while the tax payers are wasting all this money putting ankle bracelets on Lindsay.

I think the real hurdle for Lindsey is that SHE has to WANT to kick the drinking/drug habit. She can go to jail and/or all the therapy they want to send her to, but if SHE doesn't really want to kick the habit, she won't.

I think it's pretty sad for someone so young (or any age, really) to be in the condition/situation that she's in. I'm afraid one of these days we'll hear on the news that she's been found dead from an overdose of some kind of drug. :sad2:

I really do feel bad for this girl. Her parents were an absolute nightmare. I know she isn't a child any more but the crippling effects of relationships with people like her parents can't be underestimated. Those people are an absolute train wreck.

The only reason I am still rooting for her is that at least she has had the decency to not bring children into the world to drag down with her. For the time being she is only self destructive so I still have compassion and still hope she can right herself. It's one thing to self destruct by yourself and quite another to bring along other victims.

It will break my heart if I ever read in the paper she lost her life to behaviors her own parents taught her.

If she goes to jail, like she should(we all would be sittin' in jail right now...),for 18 months, she would be well on her way to a sober life. There's no alternative to gettin' sober while you're inside. It really would be the best thing. I employ women in prison. Most get clean while in jail.

Well, whatever it takes for her to get sober, I'm for it.

I have stated this here time and time again, no one listens!:sad2:

I disagree, Jail is a haven for drugs, you need rehab ..in patient for many many months!! AND you need to want to do it. Both places, if you are not into it yourself is just a place that you are going to meet new drug dealers and in Jail you get better drugs. It is not all the "treatment" that you guys seem to think.

My ex always came out of jail or rehab with a "new" connection or a "new" drug of choice to use!
that is just the true sad facts.. rich or poor, does not matter.
and it was not until 40 years later(started at age 9) that HE wanted to do it, no one could TELL him when to do it, he had to do it his way.
