Can someone tell me how to get those DVC icons (SSR/BWV) under my postings....

Those images you see were created by vascubaguy, and meet DISboard signature guidelines.

Go to his site Here

Right click on the image you'd like to use, and a popup box appears. Select properties. The properties box appears. You'll see an address (URL). Click and drag to select the address (be sure you get it all, it will be everything beginning with http and ending with .jpg) and copy it to your clipboard. (Shortcut is CTRL-C)

Go to your DISboard and select Quick Links, then Edit Signature.

Place your cursor in the signature box. Click the yellow Insert Image icon. A box will appear asking for the address. Paste (shortcut is CTRL-V) the address you copied. The DIS will put the correct code and tags into your signature.

Save your signature.

Remember, be sure to use CTRL-C and CTRL-V to copy and paste. If you try to use the EDIT copy and paste buttons it might not work.

The countdown thingys (actual technical term is 'countdownis thingyramis ) is very easy.

Go to any of the Countdown sites, such as Tickerfactory.com, ***************.com, tickertag.com, etc. (all are free, but you may have to create an account)

Follow their directions to create a countdown.

Copy the bb code that they will generate. Remember, you want the bb code, not any of the other codes. Be sure to get all of it as it may not all show in their small windows. (Three ways to get it all: (1) Click and drag all code, or (2) Right click anywhere on the code, and from the popup click 'select all', or (3) left click anywhere on the code, then CTRL-A

Paste the code you copied into your signature. Paste directly into your signature, do not use any of the DISboard icons. (The countdown site generate the full code for you with the correct formatting and tags.

You're pasting the code directly into your signature. You need to click the yellow "insert image' icon, and paste the code into the popup box that shows. The DISboards will then recognize the code as an address to display the image and not to display the code.

If you don't have the editing features (such as Bold, Italic, Underline, Font, Size, color, etc) being displayed, then you have your system set for the basic editor and need to switch to the standard editor. To switch to the standard editor go to Quick Links, edit options, and go to the bottom and select Standard Editor.
