Logistics - Switching Rooms/Checking-in Early/Bell Services?

We have switched rooms in the past (i.e. studio -> 2 bedroom) but not as early as we need to for our upcoming December trip.

We want to check-out of our Studio and check-in to our 2-bedroom (I know the likelihood of it being ready before 4:00PM on December 18th is very slim) around 600AM. We need to checkout/check-in at that time as we are going to Universal Studio's that day and we know to get there well before they open the gates to the non-resort guests.

Does bell services operate that early in the morning? I assume they would just hold luggage until we call for it later in the evening.

Anyone ever had any issues with checking in so early for their room?

My in-laws are joining us for the remainder of the trip hence why we are switching rooms. I know when we check-in I can have them leave their room cards at the desks for them to pick up later.

You can check in at any time, even 6AM. Bell services will take and store your luggage until you call them to bring it to your new room. As long as your in-laws are on the reservation they can check in and get their key cards when they arrive.

I would go to the desk before that morning to make sure you can actually check-in that early - they usually have the computers down for awhile between 6:00am and 7:00am to download reservations and reset the arrival information so you may not be able to get room keys at that time. Bell Services will be available to store your bags and even refrigerate any perishables. As long as your in-laws are on the reservation, they will be able to check in when they arrive and get their room keys (and your's too!).

If they have changed the computer schedule, you may be all right, but I'd verify before so there are no surprises at 6:00am.

We did something like that but had a two bedroom and half way in my company left so we went to a 1 bedroom. We closed the door on the studio and now it’s just a one bedroom.
You may find it easier than you think. Because a two bed room is normally a one bedroom with a connecting studio. If you luck out they will have you next to the one bedroom and just give you a key to the bigger room when you upgrade.. No moving necessary. They should redress the room to make it fresh and your all set.

Thanks for the responses everyone!!! I will definetly check with the front desk the night before.

We are actually slated to move into a dedicated 2-bedroom and not a lockoff one.
