Logistics of Height requirements

This! Not just because he thinks he made it, but if we burn an hour waiting on standby at 7DMT, only to be turned away, I will be bummed.

Thank the people who have lied and cheated their way past the first measurement that it has become needed for them to do another one. If other people were not jerks, the rest of us wouldn't have to deal with this sort of thing.

If their head does not reach the bar then no go, no matter how close. Saw one CM take their card and slid it between the childs head and bar and said they could not ride. I do not think its bogus. Its not horseshoes where close counts:rotfl: Just wear shoes and water shoes at a waterpark, problem solved.
Wristbands would not work because there are various height requirements,
40" for Dinosaur, 44" for Everest, 48 for Primeval World just to name a few.

There have been several people who have shared similar experiences (CMs putting cards in between the kid's head and the bar) and it's so surprising to me that some of them do this. We had a barely 40 incher (and he was a solid 40 inches without shoes) on our last trip, but he kept bending to fit under the bars. The CMs were so patient and understanding with him, encouraging him to "stand tall" and hit his head on the bar. Then again, I've also heard that after awhile, ride CMs can totally tell 40 inches when they see it! We were waved by the second measurement on a few rides (Star Tours multiple times and Splash twice) and the CMs told us that they could tell he was over 40 inches. It was pretty impressive.

Likely the same people who are losing fingers on Pirates because they can't keep their hands in the boats.

Speaking of height requirements here's a question. My 4 yr old is 39 7/8 inches tall bare feet. With shoes she's just over 40 inches. We were at a local amusement park and she didn't make the 40 inch requirement ( bogus) Anyone know how Disney world runs? Are they pretty precise or will she have a problem getting on 40 inch rides. By sept. She might be there without shoes, but i m worried they are as accurate as Knoebels.
Thanks for your response

SHE MADE IT!!!! Leaving Friday to go down and we measured her she's at 41 and a quarter without shoes!!!! woohoo!!! should be no problem!! I guess all that extra spinach helped....lol

Glad she made it! I measured my 4 year old the other day and excitedly said, you are 41 inches tall, tall enough for lots of rides at Disney! My husband just laughed ;)

We did the same thing! :) I'm going to remeasure my 4yo DD tonight, with & without shoes on to see what the difference is...
