Logistics for EMH at DHS? Advice please

Hi everyone,
I've never been to DHS (or any WDW park, other than half a day at MK!), but we are going in late August. There will be 7am EMH, with regular opening at 8am. I'm trying to figure out the logistics of actually getting into the park/lands during EMH. If we arrive shortly before 7 or around 7 (trying to account for possible delays with Disney transportation), presumably there will be a crowd waiting to get into TSL for regular RD. Is there a separate line or something, that allows us to get up to the TSL entrance and scan our MagicBands without having to contend too much with crowds waiting outside? Like I said, this is new to me, so I'm having trouble envisioning how it all plays out! Can someone please describe how it works, from their experience? Thanks!

:welcome: to DISboards!

If you arrive 30-45 minutes before EMH begins, you’ll be part of the early crowd who will enter the park first. When the gates open, you’ll scan your MBs at the entrance and then head into the park where the crowd may or may not be held before they allow everyone into all areas of the park.

It’s best to watch the main TSL thread by @rteetz as that will have all the details on park opening logistics and details beginning on June 30th.

Also there will be plenty of threads to study before you go to hear 1st hand reports from people who go July and early Aug

This is what the entrance to the studios looks like just beyond the ticketing booths....

Look for Resort Guest Entrance signs or ask any CM you see which tapstile you can enter at.

Easy Peasy.

I’m all about logistics and knowing where I’m going. And a visual is always a bonus for me.

HTH.

At most parks for EMH, if you are part of the group that can go in, you move your way through the crowd to the turnstiles so you can scan your MB and go in.
One time at AK, they had let everyone through the turnstiles, but then had CM with handheld MB scanners further up the bridge and scanned MBs to let people into the park for EMH.
If you are going to do EMH, I would plan to get there at least 30 minutes before it is to start. Otherwise, you may encounter very long lines.
