I will be in WDW in Junewith my adult daughter (girls only trip ... yipeee!). We are staying at Saratoga Springs in a 1BR (any comments on this resort?) and plan to go to EPCOT on our first day but want to break up the day and return to the room for a break (nap!) and return to the park in the evening for dinner and the fireworks. We plan to do the front of the park in the morning and world showcase in the evening. Is there a realistically reasonable way to return to EPCOT and enter at the International Gateway entrance. I thought we could to to downtown disney and catch a bus to the Boardwalk Inn and walk from there but not sure if this would take too much time to be reasonable. Any thoughts?

An aside ... several years ago we (DD and I) spent a few days in the world and spent one afternoon seeing how many modes of transportation we could take in one day ... we were all over the place and had a ball!

Your resort is really close to DTD, I believe there's a boat to it from there. You could take the boat, then bus as you mentioned, then another boat to international gateway. It wouldn't be lightning fast, but its doable.

It will most likely be longer timewise that way, than just busing to the front of Epcot from your resort. BUT it might be nice to take a little boat ride and I HATE that walk from the buses to WS. It's so far!

Have to say that we love SSR and Epcot!! First, about the resort: it is huge, spread out and very peaceful. We really like the Congress Park area so we can quickly walk to DTD (5-7 min walk). We also really like the main pool area --2 hot tubs, zero depth entry, splash ground, squirty fountains, 2 slides, plentiful seating and good vantage points all around the pool (good w/small kids) and very close to food and pool bar as well.

I think your plan for the day is good, and if buses at DTD come w/ the same frequency as at resorts, it would be nice to take a bus to Boardwalk to enter Epcot via International Gateway. Sitting through picking up the rest of the stops at SSR and DTD would be about the same, but may take a bit longer if the Boardwalk bus from DTD is also going to S/D and BC. Once there, I would just walk the Boardwalk to the entrance and skip the boats (they always seem to take forever) as it is a quick walk. May be better to leave for the night via IG and try to catch some of the Boardwalk entertainment before catching a bus to DTD.

You are wise to do the front first and the WS later.
Otherwise, you never will get into Soarin.
We immediately go to get a FP for Soarin once in the park, them Mission Space,& or Test Track, if you are into the rides.

Have fun!

how 'bout bus from ssr to dhstudios and then boat to epcot?

we've never had good luck w/early in the day buses from dtd... at night, the service is great, during the day slow does not even begin to describe it!

It takes a long time to get to the boardwalk from DTD on the disney busses. It stops at the marketplace, PI, TL, the swan, the dolphin, the beach and yacht clubs before finally arriving at the boardwalk. (though the IG is within walking distance of any of those resorts).

It would be much faster to take the bus from Saratoga Springs to the front of epcot and then walk to the IG.

If this is the case, just get off the bus at the first Epcot resort stop (Swan?) and then walk/take the boat to IG from there. No need to stay on the bus as it makes the loop around to BW and then walk/take boat from there.
