Has anyone used the Logan Park & Go lot in Chelsea? We are considering it as an option for our October Trip. It will be $137 for 9 1/2 days of parking. It looks like our least expensive option, but how convenient is it? Is it safe? Any info is appreciated.

I'm assuming that's one of the economy lots provided by Logan/MassPort. If so, that's where we parked for one trip. It worked out quite well. It was a little difficult to find, but dh is comfortable driving in Boston so it wasn't a big deal. We parked easily and there are almost continuous shuttles to the terminals. For the return trip, dh got off the plane and went directly to the lot and picked up the car. He then drove over to Logan and picked up dd and myself with our baggage. It was almost perfect timing...we got our baggage from the carousel area and got outside about 2 minutes before he drove up. THe only time I would hesitate about using these lots would be if there were any chance of snow during your trip. There was no way we wanted to arrive home from Orlando and have to scrape off our car!!

The other option you might look into are the Park and Fly hotels. THey might be a bit more expensive but you can get there the day before, have a good night's sleep and then take a hotel shuttle to the airport. You leave your car at the hotel for the duration of your trip and when you get back to Logan you take a shuttle back to the hotel.

I use Logan Park 'n Go all the time, as I travel a lot for work. It is not operated by Logan, but rather it is a private company. I have found it to be safe, convenient and quicker and easier than parking in the Central Garage at the airport.
Their are good directions to the location on their web site.
It is about a 10 minute ride from their location to the airport terminals, maybe a bit more if you are the last stop.
We will be using them for our October trip, as it is cheaper than any other option. We are flying on Song in October out of Terminal A, so we will be the first stop.
I was there last week about 10 PM, returning from a trip. It is well lit, they drop you right at your car (When you park they give you a slip of paper with the exact parking spot location noted. We you get on the shuttle on your return, you give this slip to the driver and he takes you right to your car.) Their was a security guard there too.
I have never waited more than 10 minutes for the shuttle on my return to the airport.
I am curious - does anyone know the name of the park and fly hotels? TIA

Thanks for the info. It looks like we will be using Park & Go. The hotels that participate are the Sheraton Four Points, La Quinta Inn & Suites - Boston, Holiday Inn Logan Airport, Holiday Inn Express Boston, Doubletree Club Hotel - Boston Bayside, Ramada Inn Boston, Comfort Inn Boston, and Comfort Inn & Suites Boston Airport. There is a website ParkSleepFly.com that may be useful.

How many of you are going? There's also Logan Express. Your closest location would be the Anderson Transportation Center, Commerce Way exit off of I-93 in Woburn, go straight across the intersection (when you have the green light, of course) and follow the signs. It'll cost you $10 per day/partial day to park, and $20 per person round trip - not quite as cheap as your plan BUT even though your husband is used to driving in Boston, this way he won't have to.

I always park at the airport
so i dotn have any info about the park places
i know it ocst me 99 for 7 nights last sept at the lot in the aorport byt terminal E i think it was we flew jetbue
it was easy and convient

There is construction on Eastern Ave right now. There are days that you can have delays getting to the lot (both from the road construction and from the Chelsea St. bridge opening for maritime traffic).

I drive past that lot daily going to work, there are very frequent shuttles to and from the airport.

I don't know about your time period, but for 11/4/05 you can do the Stay, Park & Fly at Holiday Inn for $149 which includes 10 days of parking.

We are sending the kids to school for a half day on friday and we fly in at 8pm on the following Sunday. We will drive home and get the kids to school on Monday so a hotel package doesn't work for us. We considered parking in Woburn and taking the bus to Logan from there, but with 3 kids it is probably not the most convenient option. The Logan offsite parking seems to be the best for us and I haven't heard any bad reports yet.

We always either stay at the Holiday Inn Logan (several times) or the Hampton Inn (first time this Nov 24) or we do Central Parking at the airport.

For us Holiday Inn Logan is great but it's just a bit too expensive Thanksgiving night, over $200 plus tax. So we're trying Hampton Inn this year at $149.+

Central parking we do if our flight is in the middle of the day or in the evening. We do park, sleep and fly when our flight is early in the am.

Convenience is the most important thing to us.
