Does anyone know if you are credited on just room stays or if it is on what you spend there (restaurants etc..) total? Also we are staying six nights, but will have two rooms, so will we be credited for six nights or will they cedit us total (12) for the two rooms? Have I confused you yet?

What is the credit for...I haven't received any email from loews..do they have something new going on???

I think I read on an earlier posting that you only get credit for the stay - that is, one stay of 1 night = 1, one stay of 7 nights = 1. Also, the Loew's web site indicates the stay must be at a hotel-published rate to qualify - negotiated or group rates do not apply, therefore, entertainment and fan club rates wouldn't qualify as a "stay. " I don't know how strict they are about this, because supposedly this also doesn't qualify you for the cookies/wine/upgrade, etc., yet many people still receive them.

I don't know if the 2 rooms would qualify as two stays (assuming you don't have a negotiated/group rate).

The credit bumps you up from regular Blue, to Gold, to Platinum, with various perks associated. See http://www.loewshotels.com/loewsfirst.asp for details.

Boy that stinks doesn't it! I may rethink my plan a little, that is if I can convince my husband.

I am a Loews gold member and they told me that they credit you two ways: the first is the total amount of "stays" that you have. So if you checked in for two weeks that would be 1 stay. However, they also count the amount of nights you stay and you can qualify for gold or platinum status with either total. So, I guess if you stayed for three months it would be one stay but 90 nights and that would bump you way up in status. Also, don't know for sure about entertainment rates but I have always been credited with my stays no matter what rate I got. As for the ammenities, I always request what I want on check in and remind them if I don't get it. I booked a deluxe room at the entertainment rate and I got the $35 upgrade to a kid's suite this weekend. Total cost for the suite was $190 per night. It was great.
