Ii am currently a Loews Gold member, and have 9 qualified stays for this year so far, I will be coming again to florida in December and have a villa already booked, but we wish to spend a day or two at HRH to get FOTL.

So here is the problem :-

Do I spend 1 night onsite, as thats all we really need to get FOTL for two days, or do we spend 6 nights to get myself upgraded to Loews first - Platinum.

We will be coming next July for 9 nights again, and we would normally book a kids suite.

For christmas we would only book a standard room, what is classed as a premium room?, if we become Platinum what suite do they give you, we are a familiy of four, and noticed that the King Suites only shows a max occupancy of 3, does this mean they would give you a Kids suite at the time of reservation if I only book a standard room (if one is available).

From my calculation if I would get a kids suite its cheaper to book the extra nights onsite to save next year.

Anybody any other thoughts

Thanks

Paul

When you become platinum they will upgrade you to a king suite if you pay for a 'qualifying' rate (in other words no discount, except AAA) in a garden (standard) room.

The king suite has one king bed and usually a pull out sofa. The pull out will sleep two. I guess it depends how old your kids are. You also have the option of getting a roll away in the room, but they will charge a nightly charge of ~ $25.00. A king suite is one big room, with a separate bathroom, so there are no dividing walls in the room as well.

You could always get your platinum status, speak to the rooms division director and explain your predicament. He may exchange the King for a kids suite, if you ask him nicely.

Another option is to stay the one or two nights at christmas, ring Loews first and explain to them you will be going back there for 9 nights and is there any way they could upgrade you to platinum. They are usually pretty flexible with stuff like that and I know some people have had their hotel staus matched like for like. You could always email and ask before you go info@loewsfirstcs.com

Hope this helps.

Thanks Paul

I have emailed Loews and I'll see what they say

UPDATE;

I have had a reply back from Loewsfirst, who told me I was already Platinum, because of stays in 2004 and 2003.

I am now a little confused by this as according to their terms, only qualifying stays in the current year count and if you do not stay enough days you would be downgraded.

Someone from HRH will contact me regarding the suite type I will be upgraded to if I stay there.

Thanks

Paul

So does that mean if you have a Loew's gold but haven't used it for a couple of years that it's no good?
