Loews appears to be going after FREE DINING...

I got an email from Loews yesterday offering food and beverage credits at the onsite resorts. If we were still going we would qualify for $500 in food and beverage credits because we would be there for 7 nights. You add that to the Stay More Save More rate and that is an awesome deal! We have already canceled our trip, but I did look to see how much it would be...I got the SMSM rate and the $500 in food and beverage credit on my reservation. Anyone else get this email?

Could you copy and paste the email? My daughter is going in Sept. for 5 days and some free food would sure help them along. I know that sometimes the specials that Loews offers don't apply to the Universal Resort hotels.

This same deal is listed in the special offers section of the Loews website. When you go to book it, it doesn't list the Universal Hotels as an available option.

Yeah, it is good for pretty much all but the Orlando resorts. Maybe we will check one of the other Lowes resorts out the next time we go somewhere.

I don't understand why they don't allow any of the promotions at the onsite hotels. At least they finally started to let the AP and Fl Res rate count toward Blue and above status. None of our stays have ever qualified for some reason.

Yes, I would love to know about this e-mail also. We are staying for 6 nights Save More Stay More. Have two rooms at RPR since there are 5 of us. I did call and ask about the $100 spa or food credit for Platinum YouFirst members and they said we would receive one credit only even though we have two rooms.

Anytime I've checked non-Orlando Lowes hotels feature available room rates significantly higher the the rates of the 3 Orlando hotels.

Hotels prefer to offer resort/food credits rather then discount the room rate. Orlando hotels need to discount the room rate to be competitive.

Understand that....I called Lowes and they told me that the Orlando Resorts don't show up on their promotions but they do offer some of them. I called RPR to check and they currently don't offer anything that will give you food credits, except those that have the you first levels.

Especially this summer, when they pretty much don't have many discounts at all now since the rooms are booking up.

which talks about food/bev credits - more credits the longer your stay. But when I click on the box to choose the hotel - none in Orlando show up.

Is the the same offer you are talking about or a different one?

the special promo you are talking about does not include the orlando hotels.

if you are a platinum you first member, you do get the $100 food and beverage credit for the 2 hotels.

hrh is not included on that loews you first deal.

i have received that perk the last 2 years there.
