Hi everyone! I've been browsing for a few days, but I'm finally going to post. My dh and I are going to DW June 7-12 with another couple. We won't have any kids with us, and we're not planning to stay on-site. I would love to stay in a place with two bedrooms and a kitchen, but most of the places I look at that are two bedroom have a master and twin beds in the other bedroom. Can someone suggest a nice (budget-concious) place that would be good for two adult couples?
Thanks!

Interesting question.
I've done some searching and haven't come up with a hotel that fits.

However, here's what I would suggest. Rent a 3-bedroom condo at Windsor Palms. True, you won't need the 3rd room, but the place is such a good deal that it won't matter, especially since you'll be splitting the fee with the other couple.

We rented this unit in November:

Wendy was wonderful to deal with and the condo was perfect. Very spacious and beautifully furnished and equipped. You'll get 2 master bedrooms each with its own bathroom, a nice living room with tv, vcr, dvd, stereo system, dining area and full kitchen. Even a little balcony since its on the 2nd floor.

We paid $90/nite which we split with my MIL, so only cost us $45/nite each. Pretty tough to beat that. At that price, who cares if you have an extra bedroom?

Thanks so much! That resort looks very nice, and you're right, can't really beat $45 a night for a home away from home! I think that will fit us wonderfully.

Hi,

If you want to stay at a regular hote/motel, the Residence Inn's in LBV and Seaworld areas have a 2 br unit with l king and 2 queens with kitchen and lr in between. Also 2 baths.

I hadn't thought of Residence Inn. I should have since we just stayed in a 2-bedroom suite in Maryland 2 weeks ago. One advantage for RI is that a nice buffet breakfast is included. Of course, the down side is that it is a hotel and you have a much greater chance of having noisy neighbors or folks running through the halls at all hours. If you are a Marriott Rewards member, you'll also get reward points for your stay.

As for the actual rooms, you will get a lot more space at WP. The bedrooms are larger, the bathrooms are larger, the kitchen is larger and better equipped. The condo we stayed in was 1400 square feet - quite roomy. Its also much quieter. All around WP is more like home than a hotel, but we've stayed at Residence Inn's in several places and have always had a good experience with them.

the Marriott's Grande Vista Resort - it their lockoff - (dedicated are different) - have a king in the master, queen sleeper sofa in the livingroom, a king in the second bedroom with again a queen sleeper sofa....

I love their studios (the second part of the 2-bedroom) - sometimes they will give you a good rate if you listen to the timeshare pitch.

We liked Windsor palms too. The nice thing is that the 2 BRs are on opposite ends of the unit.

They also have 3 BR townhouses there and some of the owners have put hottubs or spa pools in the tiny backyards. That might be fun! They run a little bit more than the condos.
