Ok, I need your help. I have a reservation for OKW 2BR in January. The cast consists of Me, DH, DD7, DS5, DD3, and 2 of our friends, both male (not involved) that have never been. DH and myself in the master, DDs on the pullout, DS on the loveseat, and 2 friends in the second bedroom. So the question is, does it matter if I have a lockoff? What are the pros and cons of lockoff vs. dedicated? If we get a dedicated, can they have their own KTTW not linked to us? ANY ADVICE IS APPRECIATED.:lovestruc

Will your friends be coming and going from the room after the kids are asleep? If so, then you will probably be better off with a lock-off. With a lock-off, you can close the door between the units when the kids are asleep and your friends can use the other entrance.

If they will be with you the entire time, then I don't think that it matters at all.

I'd do a lockoff for the reasons Donald mentioned. Also if they get up early and want to go outside, have coffee or watch TV, they will have their own space and not wake the kids. The other issue in this situation is that the access to the BR from the LR is through the Master in the lower numbers and through either the Master or Laundry for the higher number buildings. I'm not sure the building number cutoff where that changes, I'm sure others will.

The KTTW cards will all be linked in a 2 bedroom.

Another item not mentioned is that in a dedicated, there is only one A/C thermostat, in a lock-off, the studio bedroom will have it's own.

I would go with a lock-off too since they are adults. As everyone mentioned, the privacy, noise and they will have their own kitchenette for coffee, etc. No need to go into the kitchen/LR where the kids are sleeping.

I'm pretty sure that dedicated or not the second bedroom has 2 queen beds at OKW.

the dedicated has one kiong bed and one pull out coach. The lock-off has two queen beds.

At OKW, the 2 bedrooms have the same bedding if it's a lockoff or dedicated. A king in the master, sofabed in the living room, 2 queens in the 2nd bedroom.

the dedicated has one kiong bed and one pull out coach. The lock-off has two queen beds.

Not at OKW. The second bedroom or studio always has two queen beds.

If you get the lockout, your friends will have the kitchenette and the smaller balcony. If you get the dedicated, they will get neither, but get a larger closet in the bedroom and a second sink outside the bathroom.

Ya'll are so helpful!! Especially Deb&Bill, as ya'll have answered so many of my questions in the past year! Thanks so much! I really just have one more. Do all the buildings have dedicated lock offs? I have requested buildings 62-64 for their location.

Thanks again :grouphug:
