Lockers at the parks?

The lockers at WDW, do you recommend using them? I have a SLR camera that I am going to take with me to get some pics on day, (the rest of the time I'm going to use a digital? The problem with the SLR its big and has my extended lense on it and not to mention expensive. So I can't & don't want to take it on the rides. I just wasn't sure about putting something like that in the lockers. What do you experienced diser's think or do you use them?

I understand your concern. You don't want to feel like a pack horse! When I was at WDW in 94 we put our brand new video camera and Nikon film camera in the lockers and they were safe. After the newness of the experience and the desire to take pictures were superceded by the desire to just have fun, we got smart and left the cameras at the hotel.
