How do the lockers work at the two parks? Is it like WDW and you pay a deposit and get the key or are they coin operated.

The ones at Disneyland are different. Here's a description. These lockers allow in and out priveleges all day without paying extra.

Lockers are located outside the entrance gates to the far left near the restrooms. Additional lockers are located inside the park on Main Street -- take the side street on the right by the Market House -- and a few lockers are in Fantasyland outside the Fantasyland Theatre. Lockers are $7, $10, $11, $12 or $15 per day, depending on size. Lockers are electronically locked and unlocked - there are special kiosks at all locker locations that accept payment (either cash or credit cards) and dispense a magnetic card (like an ATM card) that is used to lock/unlock the locker.

Thanks for the great info! I've been wondering about the lockers in the land... would you feel safe leaving a camera there?

They are pretty secure and you can't see through them. However, I personally don't like keeping real valuable stuff in the lockers. We mainly use them for jackets for later in the evenings and souvenirs that we purchase.

Thanks disneyfaninaz - just wondering, I finally got a nice camera and want to take some photos of son on a special trip for the 2 of us, but don't want to carry the bag on all the rides.... maybe I'll have to run back to the room after we do some photos.

I'll use photo pass to get photos of us together, but wanted to take some of my own too. Anyone have other suggestions?

When we used the lockers in December they gave us a code to unlock them instead of a card. Did they change it?

Thats what I was wondering too. I've never got a card, just a code. A card would be nice. I'm always worried my code is going to get crumpled up and thrown out with receipts and things .

I used the lockers my last trip this past April and you still get a receipt printed out that has your code on it. I've never gotten a card.

And, I have no problem with stashing my cameras and/or camera gear in the lockers. Actually, I'm less comfortable with leaving those things in our hotel room.
