Location's other then Disney?

I wanted to know what locations other than Disney you have visited and please give a review of the resort and service? Also, if you have pics that would be great?

Has anyone traveled elsewhere other then to Disney? I can't believe everyone only uses DVC for Disney, you have 500 locations to go to?

As much as DVC advertises using points for non-DVC vacations, it's really not a good use of points. DVC is a pretty expensive timeshare and you don't really get your money's worth using points outside of DVC. If you want to travel the world, buy fewer DVC points and get another, cheaper timeshare to use for trading out.

We've stayed at 40-50 different timeshare locations over the years and our reviews are posted on the Timeshare Users Group website (TUG). TUG is a great place to research various timeshare systems, ownership tips, etc.

FWIW, we use our DVC points only for Disney stays and other timeshare for visiting resort destinations outside Disney. Of course, we'll also use cruises, auctions, tours, independent travel and all sorts of travel options. Whatever works!

Agree with the PP's - DVC is best used for Disney stays. We have another, much less expensive, timeshare that we use for trading (and some occasional stays).

If you can find a trade at Four Seasons, Hyatt, some Marriotts and a few others, you'd have an even trade - but other than that, you'd usually be trading down.

We have visited non-Disney locations with our points. We've stayed at the Grove Park Inn, gorgeous and a wonderful trip. Also stayed at the Arizona Biltmore last year, looks like that one fell off the list. It was great as well. We've done the Whitehall Hotel in Chicago, as well. It may not be the best use of points, but it allowed our family to take some trips to places we really wanted to go and stay in locations that might otherwise have been unaffordable.
