Location of Pandora?

Is it to the west side of Animal Kingdom? I'm working on a touring plan for September and it has me going to Pandora first, then the first non-Pandora destination is EE. That seems silly to me, especially since it has us going over to Flights of Wonder, then Tusker House as our next steps. But if I have the location wrong, then maybe it's not silly.

So as you enter the park, Pandora will be to the left of the Tree of Life, EE will be to the right.

Here's an old map with Camp Minnie-Mickey circled. That's what was razed to build Pandora. It's about as far across AK from EE as you can get. I love TP, but sometimes it thinks you have unlimited stamina or a jetpack.

Thanks, @mikedoyleblogger - that's exactly what I thought! I love using TP, but it really comes up with doozies sometimes when I let it plan for me. I really like it for the visuals on the map of where everything is, and the wait times, since it's usually spot-on with those.

Do you have it set to minimize walking instead of minimize waiting?

Also if it is looking for attractions to put in b/w Pandora and your Tusker House reservation... those might fit* the bill timewise, so to speak, better than anything else.

Lastly, since Pandora attractions are new and have no historical data, I wouldn't depend too much on them. Though I didn't know that it was available, so now I'm off to play around with a TP for AK.

I am with you on TP, love it but have to make it fit me. I find there is usually a logical reason for what it does, it's just that my reasons override. I usually optimize a plan, move things around, and evaluate. It keeps my expectations in check, helps visualize my day and lets me add in down time.

I would also suggest what PP did: set to minimize walking, as opposed to minimize waiting.

Though I just end up putting the stuff in the order I want and "evaluating" as I like to pick my own order.

I looked for my June dates the other day (after the rumored opening dates broke) and it wasn't showing up, but I am going to check again.

I have it set to minimize walking, and relaxed pace. :)

I know there's a logic to it, but darn if it just doesn't always make sense. I rearranged it to have us do Lion King and Safari after Pandora, and before Tusker House.

Our trip is in September, so it's way early to plan, and I was surprised to see the Pandora rides on there. But the holidays are over, and I'm not working right now, so why not? I didn't even realize they were there until I looked at the map and didn't see stops 1 and 2 marked. It starts at 3, but the list has the 2 rides in Pandora as our first two stops.

I went and played with it (and my trip is in Dec-). It had me go to Safari 1st, the Pandora rides, then back to Gorilla Falls Trail. I used an old plan of mine W/ an Am EMH, so maybe the trail is not open in AM. I noticed the walk times were wonky, like 5 min to go from Safari to the flying ride then 19 minutes from the river ride back to the trail. Really, I think everything is just estimated speculation at this point, walk times haven't actually been calculated, I'm pretty sure ride lengths haven't been released etc. Still is fun to ponder...

I also wonder if there will be an entrance on the Africa side in addition to the old Camp Minnie Mickey entrance.

Yes, the riverside walkway that goes past the current smoking section and bathrooms and past lion king coming into africa from that side has been fixed up and no other reason to have it except to make it for the second way in/out of pandora.
