Local teacher shoots himself in school today

His first class found him. It is so sad that anyone would do it but to do it in school where you know kids will find you.

I am worried it is one of my teachers I had years ago. The poor family. Thankfully they said, they haven't said much so far today, it is an older male teacher. (My cousin just start teaching there this year.)

That was pretty selfish of the teacher to do that knowing he would be found by his students. How horrible for them. (Hope the school has called in the phsychologists.)

I'm a teacher and I couldn't imagine what that school must be going through right now. We have a hard enough time when a kid commits suicide at home, let alone something at school or a teacher at school!!

Wow! Very sad for all involved. Sure hope the kids will get some help if they need to talk about it.

Yes, suicide is selfish - but those who have reached that point in their minds are unable to process thoughts rationally. If they did, they would not kill themselves.

I know what I'm talking about because I have been there. You absolutely cannot think about anything but how you are feeling.

I feel bad for the kids, for the family, but most of all for the teacher who felt so alone that there was nothing to hold on to ( in his mind ).
