Local news makes me "cancel" my trip!!

This is one of the reasons why I've never understood the Dole Whip frenzy. We have a soft-serve ice cream shop about two miles down the road that has been selling Dole Whip for years and years! They usually have vanilla and one other ready-made flavor. They can also add in the same flavorings they use for their soft-serve--including pineapple. Guess maybe it's not that common in other places, but here it's not a big deal.

A lot of frozen yogurt places also sell it. I know our local Orange Leaf does.

Fer sure, the yogurt place down the street has pineapple flavored frozen yogurt, but it's not a branded Dole Whip. Going into a place and saying, "I'll have a Dole Whip please" is cute and nostalgic to me outside of WDW, totally a hyped mediated thing and I adore it:rotfl:

No, our place has actual branded Dole Whip. Downtown Yogurt in Jersey City, N.J. I expect massive lines now that this is public information.

But there is no tiki room to enjoy it in. That is tied to the dole whip experience for me!!!

I suspect you are very right! We got a lot of Disney nuts in Fairfield County CT, Stew's knows what they are doing for sure!

Nope, not pineapple frozen yogurt. They both have branded Dole Whip. Same exact thing as you get in Disney--and a whole lot cheaper!

Where in Jersey City? My office is moving from Manhattan across the river next month. We'll be near the Newport Path station on Washington Blvd.

No, literally, the yogurt place down the street from ME, MY yogurt place has the pineapple flavored yogurt. I am excited because now it is OUR turn to get the real Dole Whip like Jersey and wherever you are.

Sorry to hear your trip is cancelled. No dole whip anywhere close to us so feel free to send your tickets and hotel reservations our way and we'll do our dole whip part for humanity :-)

The shop is right outside the Grove Street stop, on the corner of Grove and Newark. I hope you enjoy our fair city!

It wasn't that common just a few years ago, though; at least not in most parts of the country.

Many places now have it. Our fairgrounds has it.

I just ran across the "Dole Soft Serve Pineapple" flavor at Menchies in Kennesaw, Georgia. I really wanted "The Art of Tart," but as a Disney fan, I felt that I had to get the Dole one.
