Are there any places on the dining plan that are allowing the lobster? If not does Angels still have the AUYE lobster? I promised my DH he could get lobster on the Dining plan instead of going to Angels, I might have to rethink that one. THANKS

If lobster is on the menu as an entree, then sure he can have lobster. They are limiting "add-ons" in many cases because that is going above and beyond an entree. BUt I know i had lobster tail and filet at Yachtsman and it's on the menu as an entree - course I know that's 2 credits to dine there, but maybe someplace else isn't.

Check out the menu's and see if anyplace that accepts the dining plan offers lobster.

I have no idea about Angels (I'm assuming it's an offsite place?) but I'd just look them up on www.switchboard.com and call to confirm.

I can't remember the menu right now, but we have ADR's for Le Cellier, Narcoossee's, and Coral Reef. I'm pretty sure 1 of them had the lobster. I think anyway LOL!

Thought I would jump in and suggest Teppanyaki. It is only 1 credit and you can order the Lobster and scallop or was it Lobster and shrimp and scallops? Only minus is that the lobster tail is chopped up and stir fried with the scallops. What a waste! This entree was priced at about $32.00 or $35.00 (comes with noodles and veggies).

Grrrr...as a New Englander, fried lobster is just...WRONG, LOL.

I once had fried lobster claws and all I could think of was what a waste of good lobster. ;)

Being able to get lobster on the Dining Plan was a huge selling point for my DH so I hope he will be able to get it somewhere. I'm curious too. Also, where is the best place to get lobster?

Hey...I always order the lobster & scallop at Teppanyaki and love it. I also love lobster grilled, boiled, steamed, as a lobster roll, lobster salad, you name it. Great lobster's so much more than jsut boiled and served with a side of melted butter. It's all good!!

NED: it's not fried, as in breaded and deep fried. It's pan fried, as in sauteed, and it's fantastic!

I agree. My DH and I almost always have a meal at the Tepp. but we may not this year as it is not included on the DDE card. Oh well!
P.S. Yachtman Steakhouse is def. worth the 2 points!!! Go for the surf and turf and you can't go wrong!!

Try Olivia's for dinner @ Old Key West. Hope this helps. Also, Cap'n Jack's in DTD has twin lobster tails. (That is, according to the menu from allears.net)

Unable to list actual links as I don't have enough posts to have that priviledge yet.

We love the lobster at Narcoosee's at the Grand Floridian, you can order surf and turf or a whole main lobster, had both and they are delicious! We have our ADR already made for our anniversary meal on October 2!!!!!!

Bon Appetito:

I agree with you, NewEnglandDisney...wrong, wrong, wrong! :teeth: But hey, at Disney? Maybe us New Englanders should give it another try! :teeth:

From what I've read on the boards, Le Cellier offers a nightly special of surf and turf (steak or filet and Lobster tail). It's not on the Deb's site menu, but I've read about alot of folks ordering it on the dining plan!

You guys definitely wouldn't like the French Fried Lobster they sell at my parents' shore house!

(Truth be told, I prefer the broiled, dipped in butter and lemon, but the french fried is still tasty. )

Never had the one at Teppanyaki, but it sounds good.

The best lobster I've had was at Legal Seafood in Boston- there was like half a cup of lobster meat in the cup of bisque I ordered. It was great!

Mainer here...you should come visit the docks of Maine for the best lobster. We have been disappointed with Legal Seafood. Actually, I tried a deep fried lobster tail this year served with butter and was shocked that I enjoyed it.

I LOVE lobster.....but, it seems to me that Disney isn't the place to order it. I am betting that it will be usually be frozen and then overcooked. Many, many restaurants don't seem to be able to prepare lobster worth a hoot. What is so difficult about boiling it and whipping up some garlic butter? (I ask rhetorically here!) To avoid paying big bucks for disappointing food, we usually only order lobster in areas (Maine, othe seafood cities, islands) or prepare it at home.

I usually only like boiled cold water lobster, but I have to admit - I love it at Teppenyaki, quickly sauteed on the grill. I wasn't planning to eat there next trip, but thinking about the filet & lobster on the grill has me second-guessing my plans to try new places......
