Okay, this question is for my SIL. What night is the night they serve Lobster on the Western? We do not plan on going to our main dining everynight, so she wants to be sure we go this night.

Thanks.

hi

i belive lobster night on the western is on thurs

ours was Thursday. But just ask your server when you get onboard, they will know the day so you don't miss it.

To be honest, though, I wasn't blown away by anything but the soup. The lobster itself was ok...but not great! So don't be too disappointed if you end up missing it! :)

Thanks for all of the quick replies. I will let her know. I really do not understand what the big deal is anyway since my brother (not the one she is married to) owns a fish store so lobster is not a huge deal for my family. I, myself, do not like any fish at all.

We just returned from the western Magic and lobster was served on the semi-formal evening - Thursday. As a previous post said, it was nothing special. It is actually baked and was a bit on the dry side. We made two stops at CC, and on the first stop Cookie's BBQ had lobster burgers then on the second stop there was shrimp and lobster paella so your SIL should have a chance to nibble lobster more than once. Oh, and if she finds she really likes the lobster in the dining rotation, ask for a second serving...the man seated with us did and the server didn't hesitate to bring it to him.

make sure you order something else along with the lobster. It was just okay when I had it. IMO, lobster is only good fresh, and its not like they had a tank of 2000 lobsters, so it's fun to order, and eat along with one of the much better entrees on the Captain's Gala menu.

I don't know why, but I get excited about Lobster night too! I'm from Massachusetts so lobsters are readily available all the time but I guess the idea of having a 'free' lobster dinner still excites me (as well as many others).
I do understand that they are rock lobster tails but I might be wrong. Either way, I'm looking forward to it myself when I'm on the magic in January!

Another question: Can you also order lobster that night at Topsiders? I think we were originally going to skip semi-formal night and hit Topsiders? I thought I had read somewhere on the boards that the menu at Topsiders is the same as in the dining rooms? Is this correct.

Thank you so much!!! So much to do and such little time left!!!

Help.......anyone............can you get lobster in Topsiders on semi-formal night?

I can't say for certain if it is possible to get lobster in Topsiders...we ate there only twice...once for breakfast to try it and on the morning of dembarkation since we had to eat there on not at all...we had an early flight and so Delta would get our bags to the airport we had to be off ship by 8:30am and we'd had the late dinner seating so missed out on eating at Lumiere's once more. DH also ate at Topsiders for the Asian Buffet...felt very icky afterwards and ate some antacids to get over it. Topsiders was our least favorite place to eat...preferred the pizza from Pinnochio's.

in my experience you can get whatever you want really.. if you are nice and just ask. I never ate at Topsiders, so not sure.. but on my first DCL cruise my friend got a little sea sick and missed dinner at Triton's. She was so upset because she missed the Creme brulee, which she had been dreaming about for months. When PJ (Who happens to be the BEST head server EVER) heard this, he arranged for creme brulee to be brought as a dessert every night for the rest of the cruise for her, even though it wasn't on the menu!

I would just ask... all the restaurants use the same gally (with the exception of Palo) so I can't see why they couldn't bring you lobster if you asked, in the event it wasn't actually served at Topsiders.
