the menu here says Maine Lobster, the one on allears.net says lobster TAIL. Can I ask which is correct?

As of right now, the official site's menu says Whole Maine Lobster. Of course, like all things Disney, this is subject to change.

--Narcoossee's Menu--

From the looks of it, the Disney menu (linked above) is the newest (Apr 2010 for Disney, Jan 2010 for AllEars, Dec 2009 for the DIS). It also looks as if they flubbed up on AllEars with the "tail" part as it's not formatted the same and the rest of the info is the same on both (except the DIS has it for 1$ more).

I've eaten both at Narcoossee's. They have a whole lobster entree and one with a steak anf tail.

Which do you recommend? My DH and I are celebrating our 20th anniversary there next month.

Happy 20th Anniversary! party::cake::bride::groom:

You will love Narcoossee's. The last time we ate there we were going to have the surf and turf, our waiter recommend that one of us get the filet and the other the whole Maine Lobster. IT WAS GREAT! Much more food then I could eat, but DH had no problem finishing it off. The food was superb and he service also. The only part, was it was crowded and we had a large party next to us. Try and get your ADR when it isn't too busy and let them know it is a special romantic celebration.

PS- we are having dinner there our second night. :goodvibes

We had the whole lobster in January and we loved it. For me eating lobster while looking at the castle, priceless :goodvibes Great service and great food:thumbsup2

The "whole lobster" is not quite true. When they bring the platter, it looks like a very nice lobster. But they have taken all the mess (and fun) from the experience. The full tail is there, with the shell cracked. Both full claws are there, again with the shells already cracked. But for the body all you get is a very nice shell, all the stuff inside the body, as well as the legs have been removed. But they are definitely large enough for a meal.

Thanks for the info. We will be having dinner there for my DD21st birthday. in 10 days.. Yay:cheer2::cheer2:

I'm not a huge fan of lobster but my DH got the whole lobster this past time, (last year he got the lobster tail & steak). I tried his lobster, it was SO good. As was the side it came with, i forgot what it was I just remember it was very good. If you like lobster, I recommend getting this dish.

My guess is they don't want us to get too "messy"!!! Sounds like ordering 1 lobster and 1 filet and then splitting them is the way to go. :thumbsup2 Thanks guys!

Im a southerner and not use to all that cracking so I like the fact it is done for me..LOL

we can find meat in places you can't even imagine! (in the Lobster I mean!!!) Cracking & digging is at least half the fun and, the body and the feelers have tons of really sweet meat in them so I wish they'd just leave them for me but I do understand not everyone can handle lobster like we can!!;)
