I am not sure that is the right word, but I am wondering if you order the whole lobster, do they take it out of the shell for you? I love lobster but have never eaten it whole. Just lobster tails or pieces. I don't think I can (or want to) attempt to get the meat out myself for the first time at a nice restaurant. Aside from the fact that I think my DD might freak if she sees a lobster "face" looking at her on my plate!

Will they do that for you? If not, I may just get the surf and turf. Thanks!

It's actually very easy to eat, and not messy at all. It's cut open, so you just pull the meat out with your fork. Here's a picture of how it came.

Thanks for the picture. Is this considered "removed from the shell"? Or is this the standard way it comes if you don't ask for anything different?

That's the way it came without me asking for anything. :)

Yeah, I think even I could master that! But it is nice to know I could get it w/o the shell at all if I ask. I love the lobster, just don't like dealing with the shell! (This coming from Marylander who can sit for hours and pick crabs! :rotfl2:)
