We are booked for the free dining, and my 6 yo DS, who will try anything, DESPATATELY wants to try lobster. I would be willing to give up one of my table service credits for him. Any suggestions?? By the way, he can almost out-eat his old man, and I'm a big eater!

I know that the Coral Reef in Epcot has lobster on themenu , but CR is a signature restaurant and uses 2 ts credits

It has been my experience that most kids love lobster especially the little legs! Its salty and fun, what more can a kid ask for in regards to food!

I am sorry I don't have any tips for you though.

I hope you guys enjoy your meal wherever you decide to eat.

Yes! Come to New England! We have great lobster, here, and it's a great place to visit, too, during the summer!

Teppanyaki in Japan at Epcot. They have a combo meal with steak and lobster. DH had that with the meal plan when we were there. It would be a great way to introduce him to lobster because if he didn't like it, there is the steak to eat, still.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. New England is out (last time I checked, there where no Disney parks!!!) ;) . I think we will try Japan at Epcot. When I told my son about the steak and lobster, he :bounce: !!!!

I'm counting on the "special of the day" at Le Cellier in Canada to still be surf and turf when we go. It's not on any of the menus that I've found on the internet, but people here on the boards have stated that it's usually (if not always) the special at Le Cellier.

a special when we went in APril too......but being a Mainer.....We do our specials here in the privacy of our kitchen so I can make a mess.....
have fun in Disney with your son and I am sure he will love the Lobster anywheres

If you are looking for a whole lobster, Narcoossee's is the only one I noticed on the dining plan that currently has one on the menu. Naroossee's is a two credit establisment.

I've seen mixed reviews on the lobster here, and not had it myself.

The quality probably depends on the batch of lobsters that they have in at any given time. With lobster, like crab, the quality of the meal depends on how close to molt the shellfish are. Just after they molt, they seem rather empty of meat and watery for their size.

My son (7) loves crab, and would be very put out if I had a lobster and he didn't, so I know how you feel. He can put away more sushi then I can, and I love shushi too. :mickeybar

Coral Reef has a tail on the menu. Narcoossee's and the Yachtsman steakhouse both have a surf and turf. You could get the surf and turf and give the tail to your son. With a small steak, appetizer, and desert, you probably won't starve. :rotfl2:

Florida lobster is rock lobster, smaller and less tasty (IMHO) than the lobster that you get off the New England coast. These are larger and much tastier. Nothing like a clam bake in Maine. Yum, I'm hungry just thinking about it.

We've looked for lobster before at DW and found the best to be at Narcoosees.
I just had their surf and turf last month and it was very good.
Check out the menus on www.allears.net

Another vote for the lobster at Narcoossee's. It's delicious! The idea about the surf and turf is a good one - it's a very large portion!
